If January is a month for renewal, help us breathe some new life into these gorgeous oldie, but goody, Sis Boom fabrics!
We’re declaring this a raffle!!! What’s at stake? 10 yards of Sis Boom goodness! In order to enter the raffle, comment on this post and share a concept of renewal for January! (Gasp – can you believe January is almost half way over?!)
Let’s renew while we can! Have fun! Winner will be announced next Thursday! Ready. Set. GO!
I’ve given up tv to renew my love of reading!
Jumping up and down with my hand in the air! Pick me! Pick ME! =D
Thanks for the generous giveaway!
Pwah haaha! I got so excited I forgot to leave my renewal comment. Hmmmmm January is the month for renewing my skin with ROC. =D
Lovely, lovely fabrics. I’ve started the year very keen to “create”. It’s going to be a very busy year at work, but I’m making sure I have time set aside to scrapbook and quilt.
Beautiful fabric! My almost 3 yr old said ‘oh pretty. mommy make me dance?’ dance is her word for skirt!
I have double the reasons for renewal as not only is it a new year, it’s also my birthday month. The new year causes me to look forward with a clean slate and the birthday causes me to reflect on the year that has just passed.
Ten yards?! Holy moly! That’s a lot of happy energy to play with. I’ve been thinking over ways to renew my physical work space. Sometimes changing a few things around us is all we need to encourage new ideas to flow. These would be just the thing.
I’m trying to see friends more often, trying not to get stuck on a treadmill of everyday and enjoy life. One way to do that is to be surrounded by wonderful textiles and colour!
What beautiful fabrics! I am spending more time with my 2 year old daughter because before I know it she will be all grown up!
I’m going to try and clear up my very dry skin I have this winter. It’s driving me batty.
Renewal for me is a time to reflect and make a new plan, toss out the things that don’t work, try some new things, keep things that work, add to them, challenge myself, stretch and grow!
Lovely giveaway!
My renewal is to cook more family friendly meals. I tend to experiment in the kitchen a little too much. I end up making some really crazy meals.
I won last time, so don’t put me in the draw… BUT what a great one! Good luck everyone!
Must renew my fitness! Thanks for a great giveaway.
I’m passionate this year about uplifting the spirit through kindness and renewing the gift that is given and received through the action of being kind. It is a vehicle of connection for the human spirit. WInning such wonderous fabric, wow, that would be a bonus!
I am so excited I am starting my own childrens clothing line this year!!! I would be so happy if i were to win your contest:))) Good luck to all!
We are starting the New Year in the most joyous way….anxiously awaiting the birth of a Grandson. Can’t think of a more joyous thing, although winning would be pretty darn nice too!!!!
Seriously, I met wet myself if I were the chosen one! Weeeee! Ok, renewal…. I think – take out some of that hoarded fabric and make something fun with it – like a crazy quilt or pillowcases – and then give them away. Not only will you feel good for sharing… you’ll have room for MORE, new fabric!!!
This month, I am renewing my love of fabrics and sewing. For the past year, life has gotten in the way of my enjoyment of sewing and I intend to find it again:)
Beautiful fabric.
My year has started out so confused. My renewal is to (finally) try to wrap up some loose ends and complete some projects before starting new ones. And here I am asking for trouble with yards and yards of new fabric.
January is my month for renewing the state of my file cabinet & pulling out & organizing all the stuff for taxes! Sounds disgusting, I know, but I always feel better when it’s done!
So I live across the country from my family, 2,670 miles to be exact. So I have recommitted myself to sharing love with them…to be better at calling, writing, texting, showing them love!
Yummy fabrics.. I love’em!
My renewal is to renew my love for creating things.. things that I have not done for so long, like sewing for lil girls!
What an awesome prize!! This January, I’m trying to renew by keeping up my regular yoga practice and get new job. The yoga helps with the stress of the job hunt. Thank you for the giveaway!
Thanks for the giveaway. I am going to try to be more patient. I just love your fabric.
I just realized your blog site changed & I’m so glad I stopped by today! 🙂 What a great prize to win! 🙂 I’m going to renew by cleaning out & reorganizing my sewing room & get very inspired while doing so! I sure hope to win! I love me some Sis Boom! 🙂 ~Stacy
Thanks for the generous giveaway! I am making an attempt to renew my creativity and get out of my boring rut!
My goal for renewal is to try and live more in the moment. To not worry about other things and not be distracted. Thanks for the opportunity with the giveaway.
My renewal is to stick to those trips to the gym which i started last October to renew my energy to sew more! With 10 yards of SisBoom to inspire and renew me too, I’ll be sewing till next January!
my renewal is to have more faith & believe in myself. i think i can, i think i can!
Wow, ten yards of Sis Boom, too good to be true! I renew each morning, just glad to be here and able to craft! Working on a quilt using Sis Boom scraps. Happy New Year~
Ten Yards??? Christmas in January!! Lets see….renewal, living a more free life so I can be the best me!!
My idea of renewal is to invite back dear friends to our house this year. Somehow, after #3 and 4 were born we quit entertaining. I miss casual get togethers with my friends and this year is the perfect time to get back to it!
Oh my. I am not sure it could even get better than that! My renewal is completely based on being my personal best. Healthier, happier, calmer:)
Hi Jennifer, thanks for your generous giveaway. My renewal is for creative stimulation and motivation to finish UFO’s this year. I lost my mojo and 10 yards of gorgeous Sis Boom fabrics would sure help to inspire.
Learning to be intentional in my thoughts and actions and being present for my children. LOVE the sis boom!
Hmmmm…my renewal is for simplicity in my life and therefore allowing me more time with my kids and hubby and of course, sewing! 🙂 GREAT giveaway!
I am hoping to learn a few new techniques in the kitchen (love to bake) and in my sewing room (love to sew). Spending time making things with beautiful fabric is renewal for me. Thank you for the giveaway.
What beautiful fabric, oh i hope i win. I am trying to be more patient this year!
I will renew my passion for creativity, for the sake of surrounding myself with beauty. I will create what makes me happy (Sis Boom plays a HUGE part of this!). I will quilt, make fluffy pillows and beautiful window treatments because they are beautiful, not because they are functional.
January is a month of quiet reflection – whether we want it or not – and a chance to recharge, renew and see life in a new way…like with a new stash of gorgeous fabric. I see myself loving that ray of sunshine on these cold winter days!
Oh thank you for the chance Jennifer!
We are doing lots of renewal in our house because we just moved in to a new house, new job, new church etc.
This month, my renewal is taking the form of going through all my un-needed and and extra things, and donating them to the charities that are doing drives right now.
WOW! {said with eyes as big as silver dollars!} That’s the awesomest giveaway ever! LOVE IT!
My renewal for the year is to renew my energy by simplifying daily life, renew my plan to bring balance into the family & to renew my surroundings bringing new life to old things, which will help bring it full circle to fufill my creative bug!
Thanks for the chance to win 🙂
I am attempting to renew my to do list. With a new baby I’m finding myself often very flustered and depressed over how little I feel like I accomplish in a day.
I’ve realized I am expecting far too much of myself and holding a baby all day is a perfectly wonderful way to live. Who really cares if the sink hasn’t been scrubbed in a month?
I think I should have a fabric renewal. Use up all my old fabric, and get new! This would be a great start! Thanks!
Please, please pick me! For January, I need to renew my focus on what is really important – my family. I can get lost in ideas, projects, fabrics, whatever and realize that I just brainstormed through time I could have spent focusing on my little ones (that are getting bigger by the minute!).
It’s time for me to renew my body. I’ve been trying to put in good, whole foods, and exercise. So far so good!
Thanks for the GREAT giveaway!!
blessed.mama4 at yahoo.com
What a great giveaway; always love your designs.
This is the month I get back to sewing some random things. An elephant if the mood strikes me, or whatever. Need to be less planned out for a bit.
Oh, ten yards of gorgeous! I am starting to plan and sew for a new baby…this would be amazing fun to use!
Renewal: Unload the clutter and refresh with new organization. Baby steps, but I am moving forward.
Love the colors in your collections! So pretty!
I take my New Year’s Resolutions quite seriously and think of each January one as a time to renew my committment to making myself a better person, my family better and stronger and more loved, and committing more deeply to my continued efforts to live a more and more eco-friendly life. Renewal is the act of beginning again. Each January, I begin my self exploration again and ask myself what goals I can set each year to contribute in a more positive way to my family’s well being, my own, and my earth’s.
For this year, all three mesh together. I joined Weight Watchers and am pledging to eat more locally grown, organic fresh produce. Fruits and veggies are zero points with WW! I am also feeding my family more fresh, whole foods and shopping mostly at our local cooperative grocery store. They buy most of their produce from local farmers. So, I have renewed my commitment to my own health, my family’s, and my community’s, all with one pledge!
And, of course, sewing for one’s family fits that bill as well! 🙂
I wanted this January to not be the month where I expect sooo much of myself that I can’t possibly do it all. So I have tried to make MEASURABLE goals and do them in smaller increments. I have also tried to include goodies for me as I am able to complete small things. I know that if I treat myself to a pedi afterwards maybe my goals will be easier to tackle!
Seriously amazing giveaway, wow!! This year I need to do more with less and use more of what I already have:).
I haven’t had time to even think about renewing anything. On top of my six kids, we have hosted an orphan from Ukraine for the last 5 weeks – needless to say my life has been C.R.A.Z.Y.! I haven’t even had time to sit at my darling sewing machine the entire month. He’s leaving on Saturday, so I’m hoping to renew the cleanliness of my house.
I love that fresh start feeling in the beginning of January. I got rid of things cluttering my space that is keeping me from creating. If my sewing machine isn’t buried, I’m more likely to work at it. I plan to create more this year and am starting with the many projects I started but never completed. They will have to be finished before I buy more stuff to bury the machine under.
buuut…. I would be willing to see ten yards of Sis Boom fabric sitting by my machine. 🙂
Hi. My renewal is not just for January but forever… my husband of 30 years and I have reconciled after several years of living at opposite ends of the house and barely even speaking to one another. And, although it is miraculous, it really all began with my renewed interest in fabric of all things… which began to open my mind and heart to reconciliation. I know it sounds odd…
hmmmm I started this year by renewing my love for fabric – and how better to do that than with a super delish bundle of your fabric 🙂
It’s so hard right now to remember all the possibilities that come with turning over into a new year. The snow makes life dreary after awhile. It gives one time to dream of change. I want to renew my spirit. I will enjoy this time of cabin fever by relishing my children. They grow so fast. And I will renew my spirit by remembering to spoil myself a bit by taking time for me.
DeCLUTTER! I am determined to do “The Great Closet Purge of 2011” and then sew up a new wardrobe to fill the empty spots.
Oh love the giveaway and your gorgeous fabrics!
My renewal is to do more to help others! I want to use my sewing abilities to help others.
Hugs,
Gina
More and more creativity! Coming up with my own designs and patterns instead of following everyone elses. Make something unique and beautiful! Making my surroundings happy! Hopefully making ME more happy!
This year I am “renewing” my dedication to sewing for my family! I have committed to buying no new clothes, only sewing them. My daughter loves frilly dresses–my favorite thing to sew–so you’d better believe I would get good use out of those 10 yards! 🙂
Renewal this year for me means using old things in a new way. No more wrapping paper over here, did you know you can curl strips of newspaper the same way you curl (nonrecyclable, probably never reused) curling ribbon? I just wrapped the cutest gift that way. Using fabric scraps to make lovely gifts, making soups and stews from bits of veggies. That’s what I’m aiming for in 2011. That and rolling around in 10 yards of Sis Boom.
Yikes, during my fantasy of rolling around in all that beautiful Sis Boom yardage I left my contact info all wrong. Just fixed it.
This year I am making more time to finish all the projects I have been waiting to do. I will be spending alot of time in my sewing room. 10 yards of beautiful fabric would make it so much more fun!
Wow! 10 yards! Imagine the possibilities!!
Let’s see… I am renewing my determination to become self-employed in 2011. The ideas and plans are coming together and I will not be deterred. 🙂
thanks!
What a great giveaway! My renewal tip is introspection; taking some time alone to reflect on the past and dream about the future.
Wow, 10 yards. That’s very generous. Yoga always renews me.
Renewal…..Is 10 yards of Beautiful Sis Boom Fabric.
Renewal is all the creative projects you will produce & Share from the Sis Boom Fabric!!!!!!! God Bless
10 yards that would be awesome!
2010 was not a good year for me. I lost my full time job of 5 years due to the economy. So in 2011, I plan to find a career that makes me happy. I plan to sew more for the public and who knows maybe that will become my full time job. I love sewing and creating new designs for my customers. 10 yards would make a great start.
THanks 🙂
Taking some time to myself is very renewing and hard for this mom of 11 to come by!
Since we’ve been snowed in for most of this week I’ve cleaned out my sewing room, sorted through lots of stuff, and our garbage man is the recipient of 3 very large bags of stuff we don’t need any more! Makes me feel refreshed & renewed just to walk in my sewing room now. Still have a way to go but I’m slowly getting there!
BEAUTIFUL FABRICS! The way i am going to renew myself this new year, is to let my creativity shine through, and use it to inspire others, my friends, family, and peers.
Thanks for the great contest!!!
I’m starting the new year renewing my sewing room. I gott a new cutting table and assembled it. Now I am rearranging, organizing, and making the room functional! I really need some beautiful fabric now on my walls! New project with this beautiful fabric?
We have had a lot of financial set-backs in the past few months. I decided that no matter what, I am keeping my eyes on the prize- which is adopting a second child.
I am renewing a determination to make time for myself, whether it be for sewing or working out and also to make a bigger effort to eat better!
I heard a great concept on the radio this week. Choose a word this year that represents your anthem, theme, etc. Post it and live by that word. Mine will be “Faith”.
Thanks for the giveaway!
What a fun idea! I would LOVE to win these fabrics!
With the beginning of this new year, I am using this as an opportunity to be more thankful, and to to continue to work on using the gifts that I have been given.
Renewal for me is a time to look back and renew goals not met or to look at what went bad and find a way to make this year a better year.
I love to go thru paperwork and shred old items . a clean slate makes the coming year easier.
I’m starting the new year with a fresh new perspective in my living and work space. We are going to paint the sewing room and get better organized. This fabric would be perfect for inspiration to start new projects for me. What a great opportunity. Thank you for the chance!
This is my first blog giveaway, it would be so cool to win! I am focusing on putting God first in my life and giving my family the best of me and not what is just left over at the end of a long day 🙂
Renewal, look forward not back, and everyday try to improve someone elses day. Thanks for the great giveaway.
Renewal? Lately my family’s life has been one of renewal rising from the ashes of financial stress to the start of a year I KNOW will be amazing! You are gonna have one lucky person opening a gift of colorful goodness when they win!
Wow! Love this fabric! And 10 yards oh my!!! 🙂
I am renewing my computer room by turning it into a sewing room since I have been teaching myself how to use my great aunts old sewing machine which has been an awesomely fun adventure!
That is one amazing giveaway. I am hoping international postage is included! January is a time to sit down, take some deep breaths and renew my approach and enthusiasm for life. Clean slate; forget what didn’t get done last year; what went wrong last year and focus on a new year’s start.
My renewal will come in renewing my focus on my seven beautiful children and trying my best to encourage and make real their creative pursuits….even when I’m wanting to follow my own.
Holy moly look at all the comments, lol. A 10 yard give-away is awesome, Jennifer! Renewal – well, I just re-arranged my sewing space, put up some small quilts on the wall that had been stored, and it’s inspiring me to no end – a wonderful renewal!
I want to renew my commitment to work harder on losing weight. I also want to continue with my sewing classes.
Wow!!! Amazing things come to mind with 10 yards of your beautiful fabric. I think this will be an ultimate year of renewal for our family. My husband is in chemo trying to get into remission from tcell-pll (a type of leukemia) and will undergo a stemcell transplant hopefully in the next 3 to 4 months. He will have “brand new” blood and bone marrow thanks to a most generous donor! Praise God and blessings to you and to all your fabric followers. 🙂
This year I want to create more, love more and host more get together at home. Please please let me win 🙂 You’re so generous!
Ah…my January came with moving into a new home (after a long military move) and now the boxes need unpacking and little girl bedrooms need decorating…that’s my renewal! 10 yards would go FAR in that process!!!
Renewal in 2011, for me, will mean a sharper focus on the essentials: health, home, happiness. And 10 yards of your loveliness would be a true delight!!
January this year, is a time for reflection, reassessment, re-evaluation and renewal of all aspects of my life. It’s been a time to rethink what and who I am and deciding where I am going with my life. I had a terrible year last year and was very ill for much of it. Now with the right help and treatment, I am on the mend but I have to change so much.
My future happiness lies within my creativity and that is the path I elect to follow so to assess and renew my skills is the first task. Fabric and thread will always be a part of it and I would dearly love to win this sumptuous pile of colour. Thanks for the chance
Great giveaway! This year? Hmmm, I guess I want to help my husband more in his office…
January for me is cleaning and purging all the clutter in our house! Strange as that seems it always motivates me to sew!
I always live by the thought that everyday is a good day. Some are not so good but most are really really good. and on the not so good days I remind myself of the simplest of things – the beauty in color…it always makes me smile…
10 Yards id AWESOME!!!
Renewal this year is focusing on a new pregnancy after 4 miscarriages, A new attitude, a new life and focusing on what is important!
My renewal is get through the winter months being more cheerful about winter. I know it seems silly, but 6 months of winter is half of one’s life. I am looking for the positive things about it…like only 4 more months! Thanks for the raffle.
10 Yards – oh my!!!!!! What a great raffle – so much I can do with 10 yards. Always loving the month of January, besides the fact that it’s my birthday month. It is a wonderful time of cleaning up surroundings, body, and mind. A time for inspiration. This year it’s a challenge to myself to create something every day. And this fabric will certainly go a long way towards that goal! Thank you for the opportunity!
wow! 10 yards is so generous! I am renewing my mental health this year, trusting God with everything & learning to “go with the flow”
(I will try not to drool in my keyboard as I type, but you make it difficult when you wave those beautiful fabrics around!) For me, renewal is looking honestly at my life, warts and all, and trying to see it with God’s loving eyes. What do I need t be more thankful for, where have I fallen short, how would He encourage and love me to do better? Renewal is the hope He gives me right where I am, and the strength that only He has to allow for change within my heart.
Blessings,
KT
in 2011 i am trying to renew my faith in myself, and strengthen my body and mind. i will try to respect my own needs and spend less time trying to meet everyone else’s.
Renew a right spirit within me. To get rid of the clutter in my life and enjoy the things that bring me joy, my family, my church, my God and of course—-my sewing.
(and I would definately enjoy 10 yards of your beautiful fabric.)
Thanks for offering such a wonderful giveaway!!
my heart goes pitter patter at the thought of your fabric. For me, right now renew means to stage the home that I am getting ready to put on the market so that I can move close to my best friend which is so exciting for me! Watch out Minneapolis! I can’t count on my entire body how much dollars I have spent on your fabrics. I do love them so….Thank you for this chance. Happy New Year.
I am renewing my attitude and taking a new approach towards setting the tone and mood in my home!
love these 10 yards – think of all the fun we could have with that!
I am so blessed in so many ways and I want to be thankful for all I have been given especially the love of my husband and 3 precious children. My prayer is that my heart will be renewed with thankfulness for all my blessings this year! Thanks for making your beautiful fabric..I would love to win some!
I love this raffle! January always makes me want to renew the space/energy around me. I go through early spring cleaning in January and always vow to stay organized. I never stay that way the whole year but at leat for a while a clean space renews me. Also when I think about what is bothing me I realize that I have a roof over my head, food on the table, and my health so therefore I realize the issue at hand is pretty trivial.
Jennifer – I seriously think I’d have a stroke if I won 10 yards of your fabric! It’s kind of a joke in my Cincy Mod Quilt Guild that you and Pat Bravo are my favorite fabric designers – seems I discuss you quite frequently. As far as renewal? This year I’m trying to shed my persistent fear of failure. Bravery is the new character trait I’d like to master, maybe even cross the line a little and flirt with some boldness. And who knows where that can lead a gal….
Wow, well, all I can see for this year is:
Wait… Be Still…
And look around at what we have and have to offer to others.
This year I want to use up even more of what I already ahve. Not novel, but very neccessary for me.
Of course I meant all I can “say” and not “see” for my renewal for this year.
If I could just get myself to Wait…Be Still. And see and listen to what matters.
NEAT NEAT GIVEAWAY!
EACH NY I DECIDE IN JANUARY TO START A BRAND NEW QUILT BLOCK THAT I’VE NOT DONE BEFORE,WITH SWEET NEW FABRICS,IN A FRESH PROJECT! THANKS SO FOR SHARING!
Beautiful fabrics with enormous possibilities! Yippee!
The first thing I’m renewing is my precious 7 year old daughter’s cluttered room! I’m taking out everything she shouldn’t miss, putting all of her collections into mod podge topped jars, and giving her some space:)
I’ll work on self renewal once I’m done…
I hope to create more. I am plenty inspired.
Wow! Great giveaway! Hoping I win! This year, my concept of renewal is to appreciate the little things every day with my kids, husband, family and friends that make me thankful for every one in my life. To stop and smell the roses, so to speak. 🙂
Gorgeous fabric!! I have been wanting some for a LONG time!
I want to start fresh be organized put more love into my family and give back! I love the concept of paying it forward I’m going to try this! I love you fabrics so bright colorful give hope this spring is coming and I hope sooner than later!!
WOW! Beautiful fabric.
I’m working on “renewing” my relationship with my husband. We’ve not been the best at making time for each other, so, that’s what we are working on this month.
This year renewal to me means slowing down and enjoying the process of piecing and quilting my quilts. Too often I am in a time crunch and I have to rush through it and don’t get to relax and savor the beautiful art of quilt making. Thanks for this chance!
Oh my, this would be wonderful to win! I would pull my little chair right up to my sewing machine and stitch up matching dresses for my sweet little granddaughters. (And hopefully something for their Mommie and ME!)
Hugs, Heidi
My plans for renewal include eating better and improving my fitness level (or try to, anyway!) Sewing restores my spirit and new fabric is always a treat–thanks for the great giveaway.
Oh, this is such a fabulous giveaway. My renewal is going to be my marriage. This past year has been difficult with illnesses and loss, and I hope that I can make my marriage thrive this year. xxoo Valarie
What a wonderful giveway! This year, I hope to create a new sewing space for me to keep me motivated to sew fun clothing for my girls 🙂
This is a time for me to renew my project goals and stick to them. Thanks for the tendons giveaway.

Trudy
I am sooooo in love (and drooling) with this fabric! My renewal is to get up the courage to finally take some risks, in life and “love”. Its time to “walk off the front porch and venture out to the sidewalk”.
Wow! I love the fabrics. They would be awesome for my girls’ 4-H projects right now. As for 2011, back to training! Signed up for my first 1/2 marathon this year on May1st, gotta be ready:)
January is a new year and my renewal is to be much closer to my family far away. I have been so much better about calling and sending a quick text to say “I’m thinking about you”. Thank you for a wonderful giveaway.
Well, I’m starting a new year with my new hobby – quilting! I’m excited! 🙂 Am loving the quilt blogs I read and all the learning I’m doing. And I also have a renewed desire to be more gentle with those I love – more forgiving, more caring, more understanding, more present, more available. God help me!
Oh me 10 yds of fabric!!!!! That is just hard to believe. Being the fabric lover that is just heavenly. My renew comment for this year is be more organized in my sewing room.
It’s 2011 and high time for me to rid myself of chaos and better organize. I want to be who I was before I found myself buried in motherhood, stacks of crafting projects, and a stalled home remodel! So I am designing a 2011 “Bible” with calendars, to do target dates, inspirational quotes, family traditions not to be missed, etc. This is MY year! Of course, to keep the projects moving toward completion… ten yards of new delicious fabric would be fabulously motivating!
My yearly renewal is to improve on what works and change what doesn’t to make it work!
My renewal began this past week, as we had 3 glorious snow days…3 days “stuck” at home. I live for times like this! During this time, I finished 3 big sewing projects that had been looming overhead since this summer. I feel lighter already, which makes me feel more able to take on new projects…or at least begin thinking about what is next and not feel any guilt about unfinished projects. I love that!
Wow. The dresses I could make with your dreamy fabrics. What a fun raffle! In 2011 I hope to become more organized.
I want to renew the wardrobes of a couple of my granddaughters. Sis Boom has alot of great fabrics for girls clothes!
Lovely fabrics! I’m renewing myself by taking up reading again… as in books, not the Internet & magazines. 🙂
Mine is to clean up my life! Out with the old and in with the new. Organize my surroundings. Boy would 10 yards be a great renewal!
I love these pretty bright colors! I think decluttering would be a good goal for me.
Awesome> the renewing question..wow it is my self..I need to renew how I feel about myself and lose that 25 lbs…wow I need help!!!
Those oldie but goodie fabrics are just like us!! Old but never out of style huh!!! My renewal is to breathe new life into my brain and read and learn more about anything and everything.
Oh mygoodness! This would look so beeeutiful in my new quilt! LOVELYNESS!
What a wonderful giveaway 10 yards what a blasty i could have with that!! As far as renewal goes I would like to complete some of the projects I have started in the past year! Not just quilting and scrapbooking projects but also the project of finding a new job where I can truly be happy in my newly married life!!!
My renewal pledge is to make more memories with my family. A good friend was killed in an accident before Christmas and it made me realize that I need to cherish every day. Love you fabric! 10 yards would make me very happy!
What a fantastic giveaway!
After a dreadful year I’m hoping this year the spring will return to my step and the sparkle to my eye!
Wow, amazing fabric! I think mine is to cherish each day, not put off what I should be doing today until later and be even more creative!
Thank you for this fab giveaway.
The fabric is lushious! My renewal is to put myself back on the “to do” list. Somewhere along the line I forgot to make “me” a priority.
Wow, what fun! My renewal will be to learn new things this month. I’ve started with shirring with elastic thread.
LOOOOve some fabric! My renewal is being intentional with my time, setting goals in all areas of my life to keep me going somewhere.
Lots of good ideas here. Besides spending more time sewing, un-cluttering the attic of the house and my head is high on the list!
Seriously!!!! Ten YARDS…I think that is the most generous giveaway ever! PICK ME!
Thanks for the opportunity to win that fab. fabric pack!! I am not smoking and therefore, renewing my lungs, and praying that it isn’t too late for my dh.
Ah, January renewal….it always brings me to a place of slowing down and taking a good look at life around me.
I just found your patterns for the first time….love them!
Renewal for 2011….Trying to eat healthier(a little chocolate daily can’t be too bad)also trying to create mainly with what I already have in”stock” thnks
Lovely fabrics. This year I want to start my own bisnes. Happy this year from Finland!
Love the fabric! I have not sewn much in a few years, but now that my twins are almost three I am ready to get back into it. I hope to do a lot more sewing this year:)
We don’t make resolutions or set goals instead we set “intensions” for living better and better every year. We set the intention to improve our health one day, month, year at a time over 8 years ago. We continue to improve a little at a time so that we don’t get overwhelmed and quit all together. For instance, we are trying to incorporate more raw foods into our daily diets. Last year we started having spinach shakes at least once a week and this year we bought ourselves a new juicer. Now these are habits or lifestyle choices that we make everyday with great intention 😉
January is a time for me to detos from all the processed foods I have had during the holidays. I always feel so good when eating right !! Now this giveaway is awesome, 10 yards !!!!!
I vow to complete projects and to spend time helping young people learn to sew!
Love lots of fabrics!!! Renewal this time of year is focus on passions – spirituality and creativity.
Lovely fabric!
It’s the year for renewal for me in my life. New jobs and hopefully a new home for my family. Lots of work, but it will be worth it.
Thanks!
Time to slow down and pay attention to what matters most. Thanks for the chance at 10 yards!
A new year is definitely a renewal for me. I get the chance to accomplish all the things I wanted to last year with a fresh, new start. I’m looking forward to 2011!
My renewal for the month is to phase out all my traditional cleaners in my home for natural home made cleaners. A new fresh and clean for the new year!
Fabulous giveaway! I love to sew!! This year I have taken on a long term substitute position for special needs class as well as teaching Becoming a Love and Logic Parent blended with a little Nurtured Heart. I have found that I am PASSIONATE about how people talk to their children. If there is something that I can do this year to make a childs life better, than I will be fulfilled. Ohhh… And I’ve been drinking 36oz of water a day!!!!
This January I’ve been trying to renew my relationship with my family, my Hunny and my kids. Life is going by too fast for me to miss even a single moment of it. =)
I’m renewing my house by doing lots of cleaning and purging — and in turn it’s feeling like I’m renewing my whole life. I love collecting but I also love purging and organizing.
I’m so excited that I didn’t miss this drawing. I’ve missed the past few you’ve done and I love all of your beautiful designs!
~ Jennifer
gorgeous giveaway. My thoughts for renewal are reconnecting with family and friends – I want to strengthen those bonds.
My friend recommended medication for my seasonal affective disorder. Instead I turn to sewing. The vibrant colors of Sis Boom brightens up the dark dismal days in New England in the winter!
My word to live by is “flow”. It means accepting the highs and the lows, the ups and the downs, the good and the not so good with peace in my heart.
I will drink more water, less Diet Coke!
renewals for me: get up in time to have some breakfast and more important: more quilting, especially for my niece of nephew, due on valentinesday!
January is for renewing your fabric stash . . . and winning this giveaway would make that happen!
10 yds – Holy Toledo! My thoughts related to renewal lately: be more intentional in the way I interact with my children and hubby. Heading off the puter now to go play Settlers of Catan with my 9 yr old 🙂
Love it!!!! Renewal for me is cleaning out my house and getting my creative space in order so I can get to work faster and spend more time with my family!
Great give a way, Thank you!!! 🙂
I love your blog! I’m a sewing newbie (very very green). 2011 is a great year for me. Having just been married, I am excited about what’s to come. Renewing for me involves starting the new year with a newly declared hobby (sewing) and sticking to it! My first projects were bibs and burp cloths.
Would love to win! In order to renew, I vow to be more mindful.
Oh how I would love to win this raffle! There are some prints there that I don’t have and would love to get!! My idea for this year is to try to take better care of myself – not doing too well so far, but I’m trying. As a mom of 6 it gets so hard to make “me” time, cause everyone else always comes first (my choice of course!). Wish me luck!
fun raffle! my plan for renewal is to become a more faithful person is all aspects of life.
Would love to win! To spend more time on important things like time with family and time in the Word. Spend less time in trivial things. And of course, more time sewing!!
Thanks for the fun raffle!
Renewal for me is to let go of procrastination and get on with it!!! (Everything that is!)
I am renewing my adoration for your previous fabric lines! Working on my stash of Mod Girls and Flower Power…yummy!
Your designs are STUNNING!
Lots of fun fabrics to make some awesome clothing!!!!!!!!
My renewal is to actually use my fabric!!!! I will be making all sorts of pretties for my Granddaughters. Love all your Fabrics!!!
Fabulous giveaway!!!
My plan for renewal is to focus more on my health & wellbeing this year…
I’m hoping it will rub off onto my family too 🙂
I love that your blog post makes us think about renewal AND is giving us (your minions ) a raffle entry to win 10 YARDS (sorry about yelling that last bit… so excited!) of your marvelous fabrics! Thanks ladies!
Renewal begins for me in January. I take the first week to catch my breath and tend to the little things that get over looked during the busy holiday season (like me). The second week is all about organization. By the third week I am so over-whelmed by organization that I run away to my favorite IQS. I then proceed to break my New Year resolution to not buy any new fabric (but I am soooo inspired at the shop!) By the fourth week I clear my work table and get started churning out those wonderful Christmas gifts for next year, beautiful birthday presents and maybe some purses (God, I confess! I am a purse fanatic!) and then comes February with the promise of love….sigh….
Hmm…renewal. How about sewing summer dresses (that would be PERFECT in those colors, btw) in JANUARY to RENEW my enduring hope that winter WILL eventually end? Thanks for the raffle!!
Renewal for me is the simplicity that January brings. While I love decorating our home in the Fall and for Christmas, once all the pretties are put away, there is such a beauty in the lack of things that are on display. I think it is often mirrored after a fresh snow fall when everything is covered in white.
What a wonderful way to celebrate! Renewal- getting back in touch with those persons or interests which you’ve lost touch with recently.
I would be honored to win your fabrics, such fun, bright and sophisticated prints!
What a great raffle! My renewal this year is to myself. I will give myself time and space to learn and grow in the things I am interested in and not feel guilty about it.
Beautiful fabrics! My renewal is to worry less and stay in better contact with friends and family.
Ohh, pretty fabrics! I plan to renew my priorities, starting with spending more time with my kids.
This is the month I buy some new craft supplies and let them mingle with the old and get to creating.
As I truly became an empty nester in September and have entered a new stage in life, I find myself looking for renewal in deepening relationships (faith, family, and friends) and following my passions/creating — quilting, sewing, cooking, and learning new things — photography, for example. What else will this new stage bring?….
I think the best way to begin a renewal is to get back to basics and simplify your life. Clean it out and bring back in the things you love. Do the same with your fabric stash! 🙂
I am renewing this year by being more courageous, being more accepting of myself, and leaping into my dreams!
Hugs
would love to win all these fabrics.. wow!

my renewal plan for 2011 is to spend more fun time with my children, to not be so obsessed with the little things, to just ENJOY my children, my husband and my life.
my renewal is to learn to sew! i am bound and determined to learn to sew so i can make beautiful things to sell to raise money for my animal rescue:)
The best way I can renew is to clean out! As I am not a neat person by nature (but neither am I extremely slobby — just cluttered), this will always do the trick. Start with my sewing room so I’ll be inspired by all the “goodies” I find.
I have pledged to renew my faith in myself. With a recent layoff and finding out that my son has ADHD I have lost my sense of self, and with it my faith in me!
I keep telling people that my word for the year is going to be “purge”…but I’ve been putting off the “purging” of my sewing room. Then, yesterday my water heater turned against me and flooded my basement and my workspace! I’ve been forced to “purge” some fabric! My 11yr. old daughter said, “Did you rescue all of the Sis Boom?!?!?!”! (I’ve taught her well and, of course I wouldn’t be stupid enough to have any Sis Boom near the floor!). So I guess I’m ready to Renew! I’d love to start with some new Sis Boom!
What a generous giveaway. My renewal plan is to rid myself and my house of unnecessary ‘things’. Includes everything from emotional baggage, to knick knacks I have no use for.
This year I’d like to renew my love of sewing! Ten yards of your beautiful fabric would be the perfect motivation:)
I am striving to renew my priorities and make time for what matters and stop sweating the small stuff! Family, friends, endeavors that are important to me (like sewing!!)and health. Focus on those things and everything else should fall into place.
Renewal is getting rid of the clutter to make room for new opportunities. Maybe some of your gorgeous fabric?!
hey sweet jennifer! i’m choosing to embrace the chaos in my life this january. with two preschoolers & a sick mom to care for, i’m sandwiched between two generations with very real needs. life isn’t easy, but that’s okay – it’s still very very good. my renewal comes each morning after i’ve respected my body’s need for rest. xoxo to you – have a blessed 2011 & happy birthday!
Renewal for me is slowing down a little and remembering to really see what’s around me. Sometime I speed through life and it becomes a blur.
Oooh, great giveaway! Thanks for the chance!
My motto for 2011 is “Good enough is good enough.” I’m paralyzed by perfection and often won’t even start a project that I might not get just right. This extends into all facets of my life. So, this is huge. I have told lots of people around me in different areas of my life that this is my motto. Let’s hope they can help me remember when I hit that low spot!
Renewel = ORGANIZATION and increased creativity!
I start the year with the intention to quilt more. I joined a guild last April and have not completed many projects on my own. I commit mylf to find time to sew more at home and learn as much as I possibly can from the amazing ladies in my guild. Here’s to a creative 2011!!!
This January I decided to make goals instead of resolutions.
Goals seemed more obtainable.
My goals were simple:
-sew one project a month with my mom
-eat healthier and cook better for my family, so I went to WW
-take a class at urban arts and craft with best friend
Maybe I will have more but these start off the year with 3 things that matter
Health, Happiness, and Relationships
10 yards of fabric would really be a renewal to my fabric stash! Seriously though, looking forward to Spring and planting my garden renews me!
My renewal is ORGANIZATION – this is what I want for my sewing room and my house in general. I have started some of the process and it feels so good already and I am not even done:-)
My renewal is committing to personal health (good eating and exercise) and more community service this year to connect with my neighbors and serve the place I live. 🙂
My January Renewal is planning out my sewing projects for this next year. I didn’t get to all of my wish list next year so it is time to prioritize. Thanks so much for the giveaway.
A new year and a new life, renewal of life. I am going to be a grandma for the first time and it’s going to be girl.
I’ve gotten out my machines dusted and oiled them off. Renewing my love for sewing for the kids. My serger has been idle for 16 yrs. It’s time to renew it back to life.
Live Your Life in Such a Way
That When Your Feet Hit the Floor Each Morning
Satan Will Say “OH CRAP SHE”S AWAKE”!
Wow what a great giveaway! Thanks for the opportunity.
This January I plan to start a year long renewal of getting to know myself, and getting on the path to my dreams.
Patience – wow – I said it. I am trying to find my patience again. Your fabrics are absolutely beautiful – they make me happy just looking at them. What joy it would be to have 10 yards of them arrive at my home!!!
Renewal for me is taking a new class and learning something new this year!
I need to renew my crafting habit! I went back to work in September and, unfortunately, with a full time job, commuting and spending every minute I can with the kiddos when I’m not working, I’ve had to sideline all of my creative projects. I need to think up smaller projects I can complete in the little bit of spare time I have left.
I really need to renew my commitment to my job as 2010 was a pretty hard year in terms of challenges that i faced at my workplace. And of course, sewing and crafting helps me in some way to lift up and overcome those struggles.
Thanks for this awesome giveaway..:)
sweet!!! who doesn’t love all that awesomeness in a fabric stack? Renewal for me is my new found love for painting hydrangeas and peonies… loveliness! I feel that I am blooming as they come to life on canvas.
I am renewing my home and redecorating/rearranging the entire house. In, fact today we just painted the trim of the exterior. It already feels like a new home!
renewal for me is starting a new project – or the anticipation of starting a new project as motivation to finish one! Renewal is watching my kids sleep and appreciating each new day.
Geez I got in just in the knick of time! There’s nothing like a stack of sis boom fabric to chase the winter blues away…I just re-opened my online store and am looking forward to reconnecting with myself this year.
1o yards?! Ahhh could make so much jewelry!! 🙂
xo,
Erica
I keep a binder of inspiration and projects I would like to tryout some day. It’s funny how the binder keeps growing and there never seems to be enough time to do all of the fun things!
I have been organizing this house that has been neglected for a couple of years and it is so liberating to be able to find a piece of paper that otherwise took me 1/2 a day to locate! also reorganized my sewing patterns where i know exactly where each one is located, in a binder and can keep it in that binder without making a huge mess. I am a messy crafter/sewer and to make sure I am married for another 10 years, trying to keep the mess down to a minimum!!! 😉
this is a great giveaway and i absolutely adore your fabrics. I’ll have to show you my curtains sometime to prove it!
Thanks so much for the giveaway. My mantra for January is “be reasonable.” So far this has proved very helpful in the snacking department. 🙂
My way to renew is that I have started to recycle, but not in the usual sense since I already do that. I have started recycling furniture, fabric, etc…. I take unwanted scrap fabric and turn it into Fabric Flowers. I make them into hair accessories, and am looking into donating them to Children’s hospital. I also renew old furniture. I have a beautiful wood cabinet that has glass doors that I am getting ready to redo. This fabric would look awesome made into panels to pop inside the back of each shelf……and wouls also make beautiful Fabric Flowers…..So, PICK ME, PICK ME!
OOOPS, My way to renew is to not be wasteful….
10 yards ~ oh fun. I am renewing my aim to use up my scrap fabric bin or at least reduce it. Overflowing …
I love your stuff! And so need a new stash. I cleaned out boxes and boxes this past summer.
My renewal process begins with changing my self talk so I can be more confident when I sell my creative work to others.
WOWZA – what an incredible give-a-way! Glad I saw your post on twitter (backhomeagain’s profile)
I’ve given up facebook and will become better at being involved socially in person vs behind a computer screen!
Love renewal times and starting fresh!
Beautiful fabrics- oldie but goody- its new to me! I’d love to win for a chance to create some new fun projects with my new sewing machine for my twin baby girls room in our new house..
Well, last January, I decided to start losing weight and I’m down over 50 pounds since this time last year. I’ve got a bit more to go and I’m renewing my commitment to a healthier year. I’m heading toward my 40’s and just recently made a little agreement with myself that I would like to enter my 40s in better shape than I entered my 30s.
Every journey starts with a single step!
Thanks for the giveaway! (One side benefit to my weight loss has been that I’m finally happy to sew something for myself to wear after many years of not wanting to own up to my size enough to make myself any clothing.)
~Jenny~
may i ask how you lost your weight?
I’m commiting to simply being thankful and content in this new year. Of course, part of my path to contentment is to organize my entire house so I can stand to be in it, and therefore be content, haha! But, instead of looking at it as a new year resolution, I’m looking at it as simply part of my continual growth and development of myself… and that seems to be helping with sticking with it. Thanks for this lovely giveaway! You’re an amazing lady! The beauty you create and your generous spirit always inspire me!
Love the fabrics…a lot, a lot. Since last month was particularly hard for me….I am trying to renew my spirit by clearing out the choas and organizing my mess better! New fabric can always lift a mood though!! =:O)
I have to begin with the fact that Sis Boom is my favorite line EVER!! My little girls and I have matching lounge pants that we live in…love love love!!
This year is a big year for me. I am dedicated to focusing on the positive and leaving negativity behind. Happiness is in the journey, not the destination. I am waking up each day and choosing to be a happy member of society – watch out, world, good things are coming!!
As a renewal of my gratitude, I am making a list of the things that I’m greatful for each day. My goal is to make it to 1000+. I am currently at just over 100. It’s amazing what you notice….when you notice! 🙂
Me!!! I want this! My goal for January has been to only visit Hobby Lobby once a week. So far, I’ve only been twice this YEAR and I’ve only spent $10. How’s that for success?
Pick me Pick me!!! My idea of renewal for January involves making new friends and expanding my relationships. I have found that new friends can renew even the ruttiest feelings! I am also cleaning out my yarn and fabric stash by making fun, small projects for the new member of our family due in May. I am making stuffed animals/toys, washcloths, burp cloths, a massive quilt, and wool/fabric cloth diaper covers. Happy January…bring on May!
I’m leaving behind the urge tomeet the demands of others when they don’t resonate with my own internal demands. I’m following a new path too Jennifer–one that is purely driven by personal passion and am opening a business. I’ve enjoyed the encouragement you’ve offered!
Well, I’ve been a fan of yours for I believe at least a decade! (Has it been that long?? I remember when it was just pillows!) You inspired me then and continue to do so!
I consider this to be MY year! A toast to a New home, a New beginning, a renewal of ME…and therefore, a time for New textiles and designs. I need to dig in and do some styling!
🙂
Beautiful colors. Ideas for each fabric pounce around in my head. I love to see the joy coming from my kids face when I make something for them.
Renewal for me can take many forms. Sometimes it is doing something for me, but more times than not is doing something for others. Joy comes from giving.
Wonderful giveaway. Your fabric is lovely and fits with my renewal of sewing. The kids have all moved out of the house and I’ve discovered quilting. Your fabrics are inspiring. Thank you.
I’m renewing my attitude…new job, new home, new state. Big changes here!!
Pick me pick me!!!!!!!!! I’m renewing my mind filled with clothing designs
