The Story Behind Beauty Queen

Beauty Queen, for the beauty we put in the world.  I love to arrange, I love to see pretty. I love to see color and pattern play with one another. I love stripes and Roses and I love designing fabrics.  But what I love most is your signature, your sensibility, and how you interpret and create with these fabrics.  Beauty Queen is for what we do, the legacy we leave, the hearts we touch, the things that truly matter. Beauty Queen is about self confidence and emerging into the person we were meant to be.  We are all Beauty Queens, we are all relevant, we are all adored, we are all loved.  Beauty Queen is a state of mind, the flowers and extra petals is for road to finding you.  I really mean it.

More Yumminess

Today I was inboxed by a lovely woman MaryAnn Williamson Abdullah with this lovely picture of her beautiful daughter.  I was so impressed.  I love this and I love the fabric choices from Beauty Queen. It’s such a wonderful patchwork medley with that amazing pink sash and I think this pattern is going to be a huge hit.  As soon as I find out more about it I will let you know.  MaryAnn thank you for sharing the album with me are readers are definitely going to want to create this!!! Update alert.. Maryann says. The top pattern I used is the soon to be released “Huckleberry” pattern by Jocelyn Thurm of FooFoo Threads. The shorts are the “Bow Tie Shorties” from Whimsy Couture.MaryA Maryann

Our Good Company FAVES!

Good-Company-FavesWhen it comes to our fabrics, please don’t tell the others, but sometimes we do have faves. Our faves always change, so that makes it fair, right?! This week, our Favorite Good Company  fabrics were screaming to be put in a collage… They bounce and frolic off of one another, and plead to be made into dresses, quilts, and sun hats! We can just imagine all of them working together and coming to life. Which are your faves? See the entire line HERE

Listen up!!! Podcast City!

Carol Van Zandt, Kristi from Schnitzel and Boo and yours truly are on the wonderful Modern Sewciety Podcast.  Stephanie Kendron does extremely fun interviews and I’m so glad she made me a part of her very special format!!  I am fortunate because she is a Sis Boomer and not afraid to emote!! Thanks for loving what we do! We also have a surprise gift for everyone inside the podcast. I love me a podcast because I can do it while I’m working and I so enjoy hearing peoples voices.  You can tell so much by listening about a person.  Stephanie is cozy, she has a wonderful warmth about her that begs you to over share. I so enjoyed her and feel like old BFF’s. So sit back or multitask like I do and have fun with it..We put a surprise inside for all you fabulous listeners. podcast
