You all are a talented bunch. I’m always amazed and inspired in your vision, and how you design and sew to bring my fabrics to life. I have to share these 2 amazing designers and outfits they created for little ones. First, Brook over at Little One Organic made these darling Daisy Doo rompers with shorts and suspenders. She used Daisy in green and ivory from the new Caravelle Arcade line. I’m just smitten.
Next up is Lisa from Evelyn Anna Handmade. She used Ruby in Blue also from Caravelle Arcade for this darling tunic top. Loving the scalloped detail. I’m seeing scallops everywhere this season! They are definitely all the rage.
As always, thanks for sharing with me on Facebook and Instagram. Keep the inspiration coming!
The ever talented Jeanine, customer service for Sis Boom Pattern Co and Scientific Seamstress Fan page made this gorgeous modified back maxi Angie with bold ric rac and long Gabriela Fae’s for her little girls. Maxi dresses have been a popular warm weather dress for a few years, and these are stunners!
Head over to the Scientific Seamstress blog to learn how to modify the Angie back. For the long Gabriela Fae dresses, Jeanine added a front panel and quilting details. Just darling.
I’m thrilled to announce our Sew News collaboration is just around the corner launching on Monday, June 22! Carla Crim of the Scientific Seamstress and Sis Boom Pattern Co. designed and developed 4 new patterns for you. They include Bonnie’s Flouncy Skirt, the Peggy Party Runner, the Wendy Weekender Bag and the Shellie Clutch. Aren’t they darling?
All 4 pdf patterns will be available for purchase on Sew News starting on June 22. In addition to the patterns, you’ll be able to purchase and watch 30 minutes videos of Carla and I walking you through the patterns from start to finish.
Here are a few Shellie Clutches Carla made as teacher and bus driver gifts. I think the addition of a vintage brooch is icing on the cake.
I can’t wait for you all to start working on these fun, new patterns starting June 22. Don’t forget to share with me on Facebook and Instagram.
Seeing lots of great stuff on Instagram lately! I’m always delighted and inspired to see what a talented bunch you all are. Here are some of my favorites from the last few weeks. It’s been a little over a month since Caravelle Arcade sailed into the stores, and I’m thrilled to see all the projects you’re sharing with me on Facebook and Instagram. You guys are a talented bunch!
Last week my favorite photographer in the world, Tim Geaney, stopped by and we took some amazing photos of Sis Boom patterns in Caravelle Arcade. You can create the same look below by using Bonnie in purple in our Judy Fancy Pants pattern topped off with Rebecca in fuchsia in our Devon Top. Have lots of small scraps of your favorite Sis Boom fabrics left over from various sewing projects? A decoupage guitar is the perfect accessory! In this YouTube video I show you how to decoupage a suitcase, but the same technique can be applied to anything including a guitar.
If you are local to me in the southwestern CT area, RUN don’t walk to see Christie at Christie’s Quilting Boutique because she has a windfall of Sis Boom Fabric especially the Caravelle Arcade line. Everyone else, call your local quilt shop or shop online. Hope you’re having a fabulous week. XOXO!
