I downloaded this pattern several months ago, but was reluctant to cut the fabric because up top I’m a 4-6, but I have these hips that need a 6-8. My smocking guild had a sewing retreat last weekend, and unknowing to me, a fellow guild member had also downloaded your pattern in a size 4-6. After she finished it, I tried it on and it was a perfect fit. (This was probably around midnight). The next morning around 7 I pulled out my beautiful JP (Honey Child) fabric, cut the tunic in the 4-6 size with no adjustments, stitched it, and wore it the next day. I will be using this pattern frequently and have already downloaded another pattern. Many of my fellow members said they will also be downloading this pattern. Looks better than most high end boutique tunics, and the cost was a whole lot less.
I just wanted to say that this pattern is wonderful. I have quilted for several years but have never really made any clothing. I have recently rediscovered a past interest (obsession) in embroidery and decided that I needed something like this tunic to embellish. I bought a regular pattern that was supposed to be easy and perhaps it was, the the directions were terrible for a newbie sewer. I took a chance, purchased this pattern and what a difference. A non-sewer could make this easily with the wonderful, easy to follow directions.
