Hi All… It’s Madeline, Jennifer’s Assistant. I’m here to tell you a little diddy about a place called Toppings.

Basically, the past few days have been spent scrambling around (in the chicest way possible, of course), getting the house ready, and collecting the most random set of objects, all beautiful, perfect, and Sis-Boom-ish, for a special project we got goin’ on… I have to remind myself to zip it here… We can’t say much more.

What we CAN say, is that we were in desperate need of some beautiful cupcakes… ok, ok, I will tell you it was for a photo shoot of sorts. The idea was to showcase some beautiful Sis Boom aprons whilst the models held equally beautiful, yummy looking cupcakes.

I took on the roll of cupcake girl, and I’m glad I did because now I have a great story to tell.

From one cupcake joint to the next, I hopped around like a helpless Assistant with a weird request. Nothing was coming through…

Long story short, today we were down to the wire. We needed these cupcakes and we needed them STAT. This afternoon Jennifer and I were conversing about something random, yet probably wise, funny, and interesting (hehe), when the topic of a new cupcake shop in my stomping grounds (Bridgeport, CT) came up… TOPPINGS!!!! We gasped, looked at each other with bright eyes, and just knew that this was the answer. Knowing that Toppings closed in just a bit, I darted off and arrived at the cupcake haven just as the clock struck 4:00. With my tail between my legs I walked in and quietly asked whether they could provide me with 24 chocolate cupcakes… right now.

There was no hesitation… there was no moment of, “hmmm.. well, we are officially closed”… OR, “these cupcakes are all designated for our Cupcake Truck!” (which they were)… but it was all positive, upbeat, and oh-so-helpful.

Owner Todd, stocked me up with 20 of the most beautiful cupcakes. Simple, sweet smelling, perfection. It was magic… he pulled them out of nowhere and helped me conquer the tast of cupcake girl!!!

I’m here to not only give Todd a HUGE thank you, but to give you all strict, sweet, orders… if you would like to have the tastiest experience ever, make your way over to the Arcade Mall (the oldest mall in America, btw) and hit up Toppings. They have a variety of sweet, gummy, salty, and savoury toppings for you to enjoy. The people are awesome and it will make for a special little trip.
