oh yes and never give up on your dreams. I've been at this a long time and have been very fortunate to have plenty of press but let me tell you and be comforted in the knowing that it takes what it takes and I am on the slow curve of success but I'm ok with that. Success has come slow and steady but you know what they say. I marvel at the folks that keep coming back and I am so grateful for your friendship. Just another thank you in the long line of thanks. So maybe some of you remember this from 2002 Country Living. Yes that was me. xoxo your friend Jen.
Your are more successful than you probably realize. Not all your success is measurable. A case in point, even before I found your blog, anytime I would see things in stores like the wreath hanging on the door in this picture, I always thought of your work featured in Country Living. I am sure lots of readers of that magazine have done the same thing. You have certainly carved out your own signature niche my friend. Even if it is imitated and you don’t get credit, grrrr, it’s still inspired by you work. Now THAT is success my friend!
Oh, Yeah, I remember that was where I first heard of you….you and the fabulous Mrs. Amy B….I have been a Country Living subscriber for sheer eons!!! And to think I am friends with you…I am very grateful that God allowed our paths to cross…VERY GRATEFUL!! And a very happy new year to you…I think I may be able to let it start now…maybe…
Jennifer, you are amazing. Just amazing. And I used to subscribe to CL, I remember seeing you. You just keep doing what you’re doing, cuz we all sure appreciate it!
I guess I had seen you in Country Living (before I really met you LOL) but I don’t remember that. What I remember is how you supported a total stranger and gave her the encouragement to follow her dreams. That stranger is me, of course, and I will always be grateful!
So funny I just came across an old December issue that had your fabrics all over it & this time I felt even happier to see it because I know the sweet person behind it!
It’s like Jenny said…not all success can be measured. Your life and your vision touches many people in many ways. You have given back to the Creative and will continue to be rewarded. Thanks for generously sharing your point of view!
It is funny that you have this post because I think it was just last week that I was trying to make my husband understand that pillows in a tv show were made with your fabric. He simply could not understand why I thought that was so COOL.
I do believe that success is measured in a multitude of ways–perhaps it is a bit too slow for you at times but we are here because you are a success. And a wonderful person. Besides, can you imagine how many people wish they could be in a magazine?:)
Never give up on your dreams.
Well said Jen
