Hey folks can you believe months after someone won my 3 yard raffle I still have not blogged about it????..thanks to one of my wonderful fans Cheryl Cronin she gingerly nudged me to make that info public….Lori Oles from Vintage Flair won 3 yards of her favorite pink Nicole large floral medallion…..I just touched base with her and she hasn’t made anything as yet loves to see it folded with it’s seambinding ribbon wrapped around it but you can be assured she is very happy with the results of our raffle…so please keep watching there will be one coming up soon…again I apologize for the oversight…

For years my daughter Katie has suffered with Lyme disease. Kate is in her fifth year of antibiotic treatment for this disease and there is light at the end of this tunnel and we are so grateful that she is moving in a positive direction! For many with Chronic Lyme she is a walking miracle….The disease is still very mysterious and the way in which to treat is still out for debate but while the debate rages on so many people are suffering from the symptoms of Lyme Disease….Without getting too dramatic Kate missed 2 years of school but is now a freshman at Wilton High playing Volleyball and doing everything young teenagers enjoy doing..
……The headaches still plague her daily and at times her joints give her tremendous pain but my girl( the farthest one to the right) just celebrated her 14th birthday with family and friends……The appeal is to raise awereness and funds because we have such a long way to go to understanding this disease..One man who’s sister suffered gravely from Lyme is making a difference through his film business Open Eye Productions to raise Lyme awareness. His name is Andy Abrahams Wilson He is working on a film to document the lives of those with chronic lyme and to educate the population to the seriousness of this disease when it goes on undetected….Please take a minute to learn about Open Eye Productions and Lyme Disease and if you feel in your hearts to make a donation through his website we would be most grateful! I love using mine…I don’t leave home without it…for starters lets begin with Zebra, you are either for or against it!!! I happen to love it…even when it’s used in those love motels you see in the movies as a bedspread on a round bed with big fat gold bouillon trim dangling onto the shag carpet…Think Austin Powers. In my own home I love the chic spin it puts on a room when used in a limited or if you prefer not so limited way!! I adore Zebra even when it’s not a trend! I felt so lucky to be able to introduce a zebra that was sophisticated and under $10.00 per yard…cause we all know it’s nice to get the look without that designer price…I couldn’t ask for a better job than to be able to bring pretty things to market that are affordable to the masses…When I found quilting fabrics to start my own business 10 years ago I thought I had died and gone to heaven….I could actually make money using quilting fabrics….so go crazy my friends…show me your license!
