This shoot started with Thunder cracking and lightening bolts and everyone in the kitchen at 7am in case a tree decided to fall on the house…Poor George was shaking like a leaf..I wondered what God had in store and how we would pull it off but I just had to trust. I see now as always a need for faith in all things. Dreamy photos by a brilliant photographer and stylist. Tim Geaney and Madeline Rhodes collaborated on some sensational photos. We love to bring you cutting edge style , we are quilting fabric Fashionistas ! We just love to bring you quilts and apparel that will live on long after we are gone!!!! Fashion Shoot

As you can see we have disappeared for a few days and we apologize . As a designer these are the moments that are most stressful. I want to bring you the very best of Sis Boom and that means working like crazy with the stylist (Madeline) and my seamstress (Bettyann) we go until the sunsets and as most of you know I pop up early to get the inspiration on paper. We adore you all and hate when we can’t be in touch with all of you all the time. You are what make me want to raise the bar every time. Carla is busy working on a Sis Boom pattern for all of you and we are so grateful to that very busy woman. Remember to purchase all the Scientific Seamstress classic patterns on Etsy. I did it, I announced Lucky Girl on Facebook. It’s always thrilling to launch a new line but it can be terrifying simultaneously!! You just always want everyone to be happy and that you continue to raise the bar for yourself. Achievement can never really be measured so it has to come from within. I like this line so much and know that you will have so much fun putting the designs together. You know how much I love seeing your work and if I can help you launch a little biz so you can stay home with the kids I am happy to do so!!!! So I hope you are enjoying the summer it can be difficult juggling kids and your biz but take heart in knowing it will come when you are ready and not before. Savor the notion that you are right where you are supposed to be!!

Nostalgia

We Love a Flying Girl!

A favorite personality of the Quilting World is Melissa Stramel , She is simply put..Lovely. She has no idea that I am a big admirer of her work and love for life. She is one of the loveliest folks I have found and she is going after her dreams which is always a positive message to carry to others. The Beloved pattern is hugely popular but because her daughter requested a ball gown she made some changes and added a couple of things and voila, she has reinvented the pattern for her daughters whimsy and now so can you! Purchase the pattern here. We love her use of Happy Land found at Hancock’s of Paducah. Just a reminder Happy Land is moving fast to make room for Circa so don’t delay your decision. Getting harder to find. Melissa thanks for delighting the world with frills and fancy!!!!

Modern Maxi

We love our Betty Ann pattern named for a beloved mentor of mine. This Maxi looks so terrific on Jeanne Hamling, one of our long time testers daughters. Look at the shoes my friends , that’s what caught my eye!!! I love her confidence and pride in wearing one of mom’s creations!!! All of Jeanne’s kids are beautiful and I had the pleasure of meeting this one Miss Lily out in Utah!! Folks I’m sorry I won’t be at quilt market but I will be thinking of all of you!!! Around Sis Boom Town

Well Circa is about to hit and it looks like we are going to have to order more!!! Looks like most of the yardage manufactured has been sold. Do not worry that won’t affect you just means a party for me!!!! Seriously folks we don’t do it alone and it takes a village it takes your enthusiasm and excitement to carry it across the web and create a riot of sorts. We are passionate folks and when a line that we love resonates we can’t contain ourselves. Am I right??? So hats off to all of you!!! The good news for you is that the stores will have it that’s who consumed all the yardage. I can’t wait to see what you create.
