Tote-ally awesome

Ok, we couldn’t help it with the title– but you see what we did there, right?!

So, take a basic tote and cut out some cool geometric shapes. Here we imagined circles. Other ideas can include diamonds, rectangles, squares etc.. Here we’ve used Lucky Girl… SOON we will all be able to use Beauty Queen.. (we can’t wait a minute longer!)

Use a fabric glue or adhesive backing to tack these puppies onto a tote in a simple pattern. In minutes you can go from a basic tote… to a tote-ally awesome tote. Share you pics with us on facebook!

So Thankful!!!

Thank you all for making Thanksgiving so special, you remind me everyday to be grateful even if you are just scared to put a zipper in.  I get it and my new motto is “step into it” .  I don’t want to be scared because most of my fears always come out with the same outcome….”that wasn’t so bad” . You all teach me to go for it!! I’m amazed at some of the hard stuff you walk through..’yikes’ but together we can do the unthinkable.  I just love you all for trying.  So here’s to you!! Love through the season.  I’ll be thinking of you. xo Jenniferaheart

Banner in Girls World

So let’s change it up and use some of the projects from Girls World to make Holiday items.  You are going to love this one.  Who doesn’t love a little felt in their lives? Vintage pom poms?  Ok so I got your attention.  I’m sure you all remember the banner in Girls World.  It was a Happy Birthday banner but I changed it up a bit to now say Merry Christmas.  You will need wool felt I got mine on Etsy, stabilizer backing, diecuts from Maya Road the white flowery part, and felt letters called stickit’s mine are from ebay. Of course a Girls World Book  to keep you on track.  The sentiment is all yours..You make it up!!  So love that you come by it means the world to me!!!

Soft Spoken

Lynn Harris’s quilts speak to me I love how an innocent golden brown pinwheel glides over the surface of her Lucky Girl Quilt.  It is indeed magical and I am always happy with the choices she makes when doing a Sis Boom Quilt. Lynn is wonderful and now has a long arm quilting machine so talk to her.  I send it to her and she does the quilting. This collection reminds me of an old quilt with random pieces thrown together but it’s the darks and the lights that create the story!!! I love the navy in this collection because it grounds everything else.  Thanks for the classic you created Lynn. I am in heaven….seriously!!
