One of my favorite things to do is to share with you the Scientific Seamstress Patterns with you. Carla Crim Just introduced the Be-bop!! For Girls and their Dolls!!!! Yes you heard me correctly. I just absolutely love this one …heck I would wear it! so pretty, so painterly like the artists smocks from back in the day. Purely and genuinely innocent and lovely!! We are so happy for her and we love that her team has been doing sew alongs and how-to’s on the Scientific Seamstress website. They will be putting zippers in this week so pay attention to the Scientific Seamstress website!! Look at the beautiful flower pin from Girls World that she designed for our book Girls World. She is the very very best their is. Carla continues to be one of the first PDF designers and consistently on the cutting edge. We are so grateful to have her in our business but more importantly in our lives. Hats off to another win Carla!! This shoot started with Thunder cracking and lightening bolts and everyone in the kitchen at 7am in case a tree decided to fall on the house…Poor George was shaking like a leaf..I wondered what God had in store and how we would pull it off but I just had to trust. I see now as always a need for faith in all things. Dreamy photos by a brilliant photographer and stylist. Tim Geaney and Madeline Rhodes collaborated on some sensational photos. I did it, I announced Lucky Girl on Facebook. It’s always thrilling to launch a new line but it can be terrifying simultaneously!! You just always want everyone to be happy and that you continue to raise the bar for yourself. Achievement can never really be measured so it has to come from within. I like this line so much and know that you will have so much fun putting the designs together. You know how much I love seeing your work and if I can help you launch a little biz so you can stay home with the kids I am happy to do so!!!! So I hope you are enjoying the summer it can be difficult juggling kids and your biz but take heart in knowing it will come when you are ready and not before. Savor the notion that you are right where you are supposed to be!!
One of the favorite projects of Girls World is this amazing tulle layover apron on your child’s favorite dress. You all have had such fun with this and you keep us in awe of your concepts. This is literally fuel for your passions, I see so many applications for this wonderful jewel of an idea. I just love looking at it!! Take the ribbon up higher make ribbon bows or flowers!! We are loving you today and everyday. You are like a cup of coffee to savor. xo
