Monarch Workshop

This past weekend I had the luxury of attending Monarch Workshop.  The workshop is run by an incredible group of women (including our very own Madeline) and aims to support “those who need a little push, those who are looking for a creative connection, and those who need inspiration to believe they can follow their dreams.”

The attendees were made up of a spectacular group of women whose occupations ranged from bloggers to therapists and real estate agents to artists.  The two day workshop consisted of non-stop activities (lessons, speakers, crafting) that catered to the mind, body and soul. It was FABULOUS.

Our fearless leader, Jennifer Paganelli, was a guest speaker and led the group in creating vision books.  The books were created by gluing inspiring cut outs (words, quotes, images) from magazines onto blank notebook pages.

There was yoga and lessons in make-up and skincare. We made our own dream catchers, ate delicious food (from the ladies at Whisk + Brush) and had a tutorial in all things confetti! Take a look below of more images from the incredibly talented Victoria Gloria:

Wholecloth Quilts from Circa!

Something very big coming to Sis Boom wholecloth Quilts made in the USA.  As you know not many designers offer wholecloth quilts because they are so costly to make. We pay a huge premium to do business in America but we also know this is something that many of you want. We are starting with twin bedspread quilts only!! These are an investment for sure but so worth it!!! These are heirloom quilts.
These will last a lifetime just like our ancestors quilts!  They will travel with your children throughout their lives and the beauty is these are ready made from our Circa Line, no custom available but we would like to know if folks would like to see Queen and King so please let us know.  We hope to hear from you!! These are $400 each and please no hate mail, we are trying our best to keep them made in America. Once we get into volume orders we may be able to reduce the price. But we are years from that. Hope you like them. They will be available in our shop very soon!!

Florida!!! Are you listening??

Big event in Del Ray this weekend that you do not want to miss…R u hearing me..?  Hickity Pickity will be there with all your favorites for everyone in the family!!  I so wish I could attend.  Make sure to look for Judy Buchanan and her talented daughter Katie   Follow them both and facebook to see what they will be bringing to the Affair.  This is big and make sure to bring the kids and make a day of it..lots to see and do.  The Delray Affair, read about it here.

My Gift to you in the New Year.

I like to start off the New Year with this prayer for all of you!  That’s how much you mean to me. Marianne Williamson in her spiritual wisdom came to this and I believe in it wholeheartedly.  This year I want you all to shine your lights.  Believe in your gifts.  Make this your year. Marianne’s book Illuminata  is life changing.

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”

All my love,

Jennifer

Holiday Dress

We introduced the Betty Ann later in the game to get a jump on spring but look what Jenny did for her daughter Kelsey.

She made a Leighanna peasant and used it beautifully under the Betty Ann.  This is sensational for the cooler months.  Jenny you’ll have to tell us that sweet fabric on the blouse. Lovely.  We will never ever get enough of Jenny’s wonderful work!

Look at some of her amazing work using our patterns and even one she designed herself.  Jenny at Sew Pretty Dresses you make my world go round.!
