Solids from Westminster

Honestly, these are the best colors I’ve seen so many will work beautifully with Circa.  I couldn’t help myself and I hope you will find something that works for you.  Feel free to call upon me for matching to Circa!!!  It won’t be long now folks it’s around the corner. xo

We rave about rag quilts!

Check out this stunner from Jack and Mae!!!!  We woke up and just had to share..lots of tutorials on line just google rag quilts.  These make great gifts because they are not as labor intensive a good beginner quilt I should say.  My daughter made one at sewing camp when she was 12.  I love the mix of Bohemia and the exuberance of color.  Such a beauty. Sarah and Liz we love what you are up too keep it coming we want to see. They also make sweet tea wallets so you are never without your fave..very cool.

The Boy

Here it comes the best shirt pattern for boys ever just two weeks away!  We named the pattern  Ethan after this guy in the photo here.  Ethan is the son of Jenny from Sew Pretty Dresses who you all know so well!  You may recall Ethan’s sister, Kelsey is one of our all time favorite models and she loves everything Sis Boom. Here she is supporting her brother’s debut. We love Jenny and the love she brings to everything she does what can I say it just shows.  So the Ethan will be also available for men as the Marco and I know that you are all waiting for that as well.  Oh and this fabric from West Indies is perfect for these shirts it’s called  Luca and can be found at Cotton Blossom Farm , Ebay, Etsy, and Hawthorne Threads.

Drum Roll Please

Circa is coming and the anticipation is building and before you know it you will be making such lovelies as these. I tell you this is a long wait even for me because I want to see your creations.  We call this one a two bolter for stores because we know it’s going to fly off the shelves by all the clamor on facebook.  It is Circa, it’s kind of all your faves wrapped into one introduction!!  So big thanks to the stores online and brick and mortar we are so grateful to you for servicing these good folk!!!  My other favorite expression is hoardworthy because we don’t want another Flower Power Fiasco.  If you love it, go for it..The other day two yards of Loopy vintage Floral went for $300.00 dollars on ebay!!!  Yowsers!  So let’s be sensible and go for it now!!  Then in 10 years we will all sell it on ebay..Me too!!!  Seriously you guys make it so fun and I love to giggle with you cause at the end of the day we all love to have a big stash and the one with the most wins!!! :))))) All my love, Jennifer

By the way the first pillow is a project in our Girls World Book that is sweeping the Nation..(not kidding)

Loving you!!

All of you near and far who make this business way tooo fun.  So we open again today 12-5 and enjoy your visits. Yes bring your children because they mean the world to us!!  My mom made me this beautiful needlepoint that I will cherish forever!!  My favorite Christmas gift!!!

Just sharing with you highlights of the show..xoxox Suzy is the best!!

Thank you Enriched Stitch for beautifully framing our needlepoint!!

Pretty in Pink

Laine rocked the Mary Fancy Sash Dress in our Girls World Book!!  She’s 14 and it fits her beautifully!!  I love the pink!! or should I say Candice in red!  This is one to hoard. I hate when I say that sounds like I’m trying to get you to buy but that’s not it.  Everyday I get inquiries on older lines that are off the shelves and it breaks my heart when I can’t help you find something.  If you love a fabric try to  really put some away I know folks that wait a year or two and then sell on ebay because they know the demand will be there.  If it’s something you really really love get it while it’s hot.  nuf said.  Remember Girls World is our first book and this lovely dress can be found inside and the book includes the pattern.  Makes a great Holiday Gift.  Only 14 on Amazon as of right now!   The value is terrific if you had to purchase all the patterns individually it would be a $60.00 book!!  Thanks Laine for making our photoshoot complete and for mom and dad to trust us with her!!

Hancock’s of Paduchah has the fabric in Pink.

A great gift for the Holidays

Whole Cloth Quilt!!  So you purchase two fabrics with 6-7 yards of each fabric to make a twin quilt and a pillow case to coordinate and about a yard of another coordinate for the binding. One fabric on one side of the quilt and one fabric on the other, thus the name whole cloth!  Great to put a spring/summer  fabric on one side and a fall/winter fabric on the other Find a local long arm quilter we have a special lady Jackie in Canton at Canton Village Quilt Works who will take your fabrics batt and quilt for a price and ship it right to your door.  So great for a unique gift that you won’t find in the big box stores!!  Everyone at my daughters school is constantly asking her where she purchased hers?????? Visit her shop. Talk to Jackie about how you can possibly get a whole cloth made cause she is so service oriented and loves what she does!!!  Look below at West Indies Chandler in Blue found at Sew Mama Sew.
