It will all work out.

That’s what I’m learning over and over every day I don’t have to worry and the struggle is optional. My husband has a great inner compass when it comes to letting go, he doesn’t get crazy. I need help from friends and support groups to stay in that zen zone..not complaining I seriously don’t know what I’d do without the men and women in my village. I count on my tribe for necessary counsel to come back from the edge but whats wonderful is after years of asking for help and learning to cope in a demanding world I now have my own healthy inner dialog taken from all the wonderful wisdom that’s out there. Today my mantra is “everything is working out for me” it always is! When I don’t keep my focus on me and centering myself through self care then its easy to derail and feel the world is falling apart. Truth is its always falling together but I’m trained to think its all over, its the end, It will never be the same. Why bother? So guess what I’m sitting still and listening to prompts from the universe and going with what feels right. Yup that better feeling thought. Its truly working out for me. Life has never been better. I’m about to go on an adventure, leaving our home in Ct.for Florida. I love our home, it truly is a happy home it’s where we raised our children and we met the most amazing people in this wonderful town. Its where George the family dog licked everyone in sight. Its a special place. We were stewards and we took good care of this amazing place. We leave a legacy of love. The first person who saw it and wanted to purchase our home said they could feel the love….say what? Our job is done here! To my children Matt and Kate we will have new memories on Sunny shores so don’t fear. God is good. I’ll still be designing fabrics but I am so compelled to paint so paint I will. Thank you everyone for loving what we do here.

Monarch Workshop

This past weekend I had the luxury of attending Monarch Workshop.  The workshop is run by an incredible group of women (including our very own Madeline) and aims to support “those who need a little push, those who are looking for a creative connection, and those who need inspiration to believe they can follow their dreams.”

The attendees were made up of a spectacular group of women whose occupations ranged from bloggers to therapists and real estate agents to artists.  The two day workshop consisted of non-stop activities (lessons, speakers, crafting) that catered to the mind, body and soul. It was FABULOUS.

Our fearless leader, Jennifer Paganelli, was a guest speaker and led the group in creating vision books.  The books were created by gluing inspiring cut outs (words, quotes, images) from magazines onto blank notebook pages.

There was yoga and lessons in make-up and skincare. We made our own dream catchers, ate delicious food (from the ladies at Whisk + Brush) and had a tutorial in all things confetti! Take a look below of more images from the incredibly talented Victoria Gloria:

Job Perks

Can you keep a secret? Since I totally trust my Paganelli Peeps, I’m going to let it all out…just don’t tell my boss…

You guys, I have the BEST job in the world! I get to be surrounded by incredible people and breathtaking fabrics all day. We chat, we work, we craft, there are puppies here…what more could you ask for? I feel so incredibly lucky and grateful to have landed a job with Sis Boom that if someone dared me to eat dirt, I’d totally do it!

So, what has me jumping for joy today? The answer is: the job perks, of course!

Yesterday the most incredible dress arrived at the office and I got to try it on!!

patchwork

This patchwork Good Company (in stores November 2014) dress was inspired by a J.Crew silhouette and the seamstress absolutely nailed it! Not only was it super comfortable, but it ended up being super convenient during a business meeting as well. When speaking about Jennifer’s upcoming line, Good Company (did I mention it will be available in stores November 2014), I simply stood up to reveal what was to come!

What else did I do for the hour I spent in the dress? Craft and snap some selfies, of course!

Hope everyone enjoys the sneak peek at the collection!

Cover Girl!

Look who made the cover of this month’s Summer Markets Highlights Magazine:

Home-accents

I’ll give you a hint: It’s not Jennifer’s high school crush, Donny Osmond, that we’re excited about! It’s the pillow featured directly above him that has us jumping for joy!

pillow

That’s right, that Jonathan Adler-esque pillow is one that our very own Sis Boom gal, Jennifer Paganelli, designed for Peking Handicraft! So cool, right?! Jen even told me that her inspiration for the design came from the back of a vintage playing card from the 1940s!
