Lynn Harris’s quilts speak to me I love how an innocent golden brown pinwheel glides over the surface of her Lucky Girl Quilt. It is indeed magical and I am always happy with the choices she makes when doing a Sis Boom Quilt. Lynn is wonderful and now has a long arm quilting machine so talk to her. I send it to her and she does the quilting. This collection reminds me of an old quilt with random pieces thrown together but it’s the darks and the lights that create the story!!! I love the navy in this collection because it grounds everything else. Thanks for the classic you created Lynn. I am in heaven….seriously!!

One of my favorite things to do is to share with you the Scientific Seamstress Patterns with you. Carla Crim Just introduced the Be-bop!! For Girls and their Dolls!!!! Yes you heard me correctly. I just absolutely love this one …heck I would wear it! so pretty, so painterly like the artists smocks from back in the day. Purely and genuinely innocent and lovely!! We are so happy for her and we love that her team has been doing sew alongs and how-to’s on the Scientific Seamstress website. They will be putting zippers in this week so pay attention to the Scientific Seamstress website!! Look at the beautiful flower pin from Girls World that she designed for our book Girls World. She is the very very best their is. Carla continues to be one of the first PDF designers and consistently on the cutting edge. We are so grateful to have her in our business but more importantly in our lives. Hats off to another win Carla!! Oh What I love about her work is that she gives options, This one can be a flutter sleeve, a long sleeve, a dress, a top, lots of bang for your buck!! Check out the photos on Etsy. We had a magical photoshoot with Tim Geaney our favorite photographer in the whole wide world. His photos are just soulful and touching. We can’t believe our good fortune when we get to have fun with him in the jungle or in his studio. We love a collaboration and we love trying new things, it’s how we grow into ourselves. I did it, I announced Lucky Girl on Facebook. It’s always thrilling to launch a new line but it can be terrifying simultaneously!! You just always want everyone to be happy and that you continue to raise the bar for yourself. Achievement can never really be measured so it has to come from within. I like this line so much and know that you will have so much fun putting the designs together. You know how much I love seeing your work and if I can help you launch a little biz so you can stay home with the kids I am happy to do so!!!! So I hope you are enjoying the summer it can be difficult juggling kids and your biz but take heart in knowing it will come when you are ready and not before. Savor the notion that you are right where you are supposed to be!!
