A pretty Place to Nap

MODPODGE ROCKS… no, Seriously

Amy Anderson has it all wrapped up when it comes to Mod Podge influencing even the diehard users such as myself. Years ago I would create suitcases with Mod Podge from old Story Books.  I always had a hard time with the finishing stage.  Using varnishes and such , the suitcases couldn’t open would yellow etc… so then I tweeted to Amy what do we use to seal and Voila she tweeted back use a Matte acrylic sealer spray or paint on and look how lovely this turned out.

P.S. they do open. Just mod Podge and scraps and sealer.  Hats off to our girl Amy!!

Melissa P Shrinks the Gigi Ruffled Pillow…

and we likey mucho!!!!… Leave it to Melissa P of 100 Billion stars to shrinky-dink the Gigi Ruffled Pillow from Girl’s World! Genius! She uses it as a pin cushion… but it could also double as a little mouse pillow.

How sweet is this?! Check out Melissa P’s full size Gigi Ruffle pillow and read the wonderful Girl’s World review. Boy, that pillow makes us wanna take a nice, cozy nap! Have you noticed that Jennifer likes to name everything with a different variation of George?!… Hmm.. I wonder why… 🙂

The Belle & The Beau.. um, Hello! SO COOL!

We were so lucky to meet lovely Amy at Quilt Market, where she excitedly told us about her fabulous site, The Belle and the Beau. We couldn’t check it out fast enough when she described the ways she used our beloved Queen Street for the Queen Street Tie Collection. Amy— You’re awesome!

What a wonderful concept, what stunning products, and what an honor to be represented! You’ve all gotta check it out– Amy’s got something for everyone and for every occasion!

So long, boxes!… See ya in Utah!…

Even our boxes go out in style around here. We just sent off a few very heavy boxes that are headed to Utah!

Knowing that market is flooded with hundreds and thousands of boxes, we decided to kick it up a notch and make ours a very obvious Sis Boom box. Think we did ok? Who’s going to market?!

A Seriously Quick DIY Project!!

Flipping through Flickr we’re always, always inspired by your genius creations. A recent photo posted by our dear friend, 100 Billion Stars really got us excited. It was a simple Queen Street dot in a teeny frame, topped off with a J. Wow… we thought.. How simple, how special, how quick. This is when we had an urge to share a special DIY idea!

Finally– a use for all of those stray frames lying around the house and in the attic!!! Here we used mostly Honey Child with a teeny splash of Queen Street to get a happy, bright, bold vibe going. All you have to do is frame the fabric, cluster the frames up on a wall and viola! It’s SO COOL!

Will You Be Our Valentines?!

Good Morning to all… and HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY!!!! We hope that your mornings are all off to a lovely start and that your day has in store for you nothing but hearts, chocolates roses, and ALL things happy!!!
