Sassy Stitches By Lori Sews up a Satchel!

Can you say that 10 times fast?! Wow! Looky how our friend Sassy Stitches By Lori pairs this refreshing combo from Honey Child and Queen Street!

We’re always up for a good ole Sis Boom clutch … something compact and bright that we can carry under our arm to an event. The beauty of something like this is that it can take you from a stroll at the park to an afternoon wedding!

Everything she does is magic

Judy Buchanan of Hickity Pickity has more ideas than anyone I’ve ever seen.  She’s blessed with amazing creativity and also loves to share her work and love of everything Sis Boom.  I’d give anything to have her brain for a day!! Maybe even the rest of the year.

We’ve highlighted her here before because she works the fabrics in such a magical way and truly makes them signature frocks.  Then we have the added photography of Jennifer Anderson Wiggins and it’s a match made in heaven. Check out Judy’s site and look at the immense product being hand made by Judy and friends!!!  Mind boggling.  My favorite are the pet collars!!

So I’ll leave you with Miss Addi and Miss Stella in their fall Honey Child Clothing. Precious.

Rebecca

The Rebecca shift is a stunningly simple garment that gets you right out the door, looking manicured and ready for anything.  Grocery store, errands, PTA, cocktail party, speaking engagement….this is THE go-to closet item.  The flattering notched neckline and dropped waistband can be made with matching or contrasting prints.  Imagine the Sis Boom fabric choices that take this one from prepster college girl to sophisticated city girl.  Because of the tailored style, we have provided extremely detailed fitting information and pattern pieces in every numerical size from 0-26W.  The semi-fitted skirt and princess bodice can be made from a combination of sizes to get a cut that is perfect for your proportions.  In addition, the bodice and skirt have multiple cutting lines, so even if you are tall or petite, you can get just the torso and hemline lengths you are after.

Shannon

The simple shift is a true all-occasion garment, and we are so in love with our Shannon! Pair with flip-flops for a stroll along the boardwalk, or with a headband and dressy flats for an evening at the symphony. This little dress features a tailored fit with a slight A-line flair. The notched neckline and dropped-waist belt can be made of matching or contrasting fabric…what a fun way to play with Sis Boom prints!  The bodice and skirt have multiple cutting lines so you can get just the look and length you are after.

Laminate on the Wall!?

You read it right, friends!… Why not? In a recent photo shoot for the Marissa Dress and Bosco Bowtie we experimented with our laminate in a new and exciting way… we hung it on the wall!

It created not only a really awesome backdrop for a special photo moment, but also gave off a great vibe and transformed the room into something bold and exciting.

Had we taken it a step further we may have framed it with some delicate wood pieces to create a panel on the wall. I smell a DYI project! Quick and simple! Give it a shot- get your Laminate here!

MODPODGE ROCKS… no, Seriously

Amy Anderson has it all wrapped up when it comes to Mod Podge influencing even the diehard users such as myself. Years ago I would create suitcases with Mod Podge from old Story Books.  I always had a hard time with the finishing stage.  Using varnishes and such , the suitcases couldn’t open would yellow etc… so then I tweeted to Amy what do we use to seal and Voila she tweeted back use a Matte acrylic sealer spray or paint on and look how lovely this turned out.

P.S. they do open. Just mod Podge and scraps and sealer.  Hats off to our girl Amy!!
