Check out this stunner from Jack and Mae!!!! We woke up and just had to share..lots of tutorials on line just google rag quilts. These make great gifts because they are not as labor intensive a good beginner quilt I should say. My daughter made one at sewing camp when she was 12. I love the mix of Bohemia and the exuberance of color. Such a beauty. Sarah and Liz we love what you are up too keep it coming we want to see. They also make sweet tea wallets so you are never without your fave..very cool.

We all love a chevron that is for sure and a Chevron quilt is up there with my all time favorite things. Jamie Harned is a very long time friend who has taken center stage here many times and we just love her. She’s one of the happiest souls on the planet and shares her stash and talents with others. Jamie created this Happy Land beauty and the other beautiful soul Melissa Averinos will be quilting it for her. Melissa is an amazing artist, textile designer, and quilter all wrapped into one. This is going to be incredible when it’s all done but I just had to share. Great job Jamie !!

Rachael of Blue Mountain Daisy is a good friend to us!!! She is a magician!! Look what she has done with Super Fly and some West Indies Scraps!! Pat and I are sitting down Monday night to chat and you all can listen into the podcast….for reals!!!! (listen by clicking HERE) I was so intimidated by this veteran quilter and she was so high up in the quilting hierarchy of professional quilters that I wasn’t even sure if she even knew who I was but alas as so many folks I encounter on a daily basis she was extraordinarily lovely and made me feel quite at home on my first podcast a year ago. Pat’s podcasts are so interesting and you wouldn’t know but she does quite a bit of footwork before it even airs. I’m so impressed with her get up and go and she really loves life that’s for sure. How is it that beautiful doors make great back drops for all of your beautiful handiwork? Check this beauty out with her hair so sweetly done up and all this red and green for Holiday time. In the south you may be able to wear as is, in the winter think turtleneck and long sleeves and what a great pairing for those photographic moments. Be still my heart. Becky Collins at Granny B’s clothing has created such special outfits. We at Sis Boom love the sensibility of both of these combos!! They rock Crazy Love!!

It’s what we love here. We get emails now and again that tell us of Sis Boom Sightings and we really and truly appreciate hearing about them..So Terri one of our die-hard fans emailed and told me about a quilt in this months Quilt Magazine by Karen Dumont of KariePatch Designs that really got our attention!! It is fabulous and the step by step is all there in the magazine. Karen chose Honey Child (which I saw plenty of at Lola Pink Fabric) to complete her quilt called Day at the lake which is really taking Bow Tie Blocks and standing them on their head. 3D no less. She along with Judy Jennings made a fabulous quilt that you have to have!! Thanks ladies!! Got a Sis boom Sighting to share?? We want to know.
