By now you all know Mel P. of 100BillionStars because she and her Signature Sis Boom Cat have been featured so many times. Well there is a reason!! Check out this amazing quilt. She won’t part with it and I’ve already tried. She is too much. I get so excited to post about my followers because honestly I don’t do it this well. Sure I make beautiful fabrics I will own that but I don’t pretend to know all of the story that’s why I rely so heavily on all of you. My books, my patterns, are all a collaboration, no sense hiding the village that is all of you so I display it proudly!! Hey guys little secret it all comes back around.!!! How fun is that.? Look what I get to show all of you this is the quilt Melissa describes as the community that is Sis Boom, all interlocking all needing each other..nice..right??? She describes it so beautifully because we would never support a clubby atmosphere. That’s not our style. This is a community that thrives on interaction and sharing. The nice thing about it if you feel like you are not part of the group just leave a comment or speak up cause we love to get to know you!!! I like to offer this as your place to get to know others and to share ideas and to celebrate one another. In my eyes you are all a success and I get to encourage and be a support and hopefully make your travel lighter. We are all going places and arrival is an option!! Do you know Thomas Knaeur?? Fabric designer ultimista at Andover Fabrics!! When I first met him I knew he was a good guy you could just tell!! He was doing a patch quilt I believe with over 500 fabrics and none could be repeated..Am I right?? Listen it could have been 5 Billion I just knew it was a challenge that was daunting. Thomas is fairly new to quilting I believe but impressed with folks like Dan Rouse he has quickly adapted and I have to say his quilts for me are just amazing. So when he had an idea for Girls World Vibe I quickly obliged and you can see why. The results are just incredibly momentous. I mean that.. I don’t throw around big words (well I do) but totally genuine I love the dynamic of planes he has created here and the rhythmic pattern of color. His daughter Bee loves her quilt. So that makes two big fans!! Me and the Bee!! So please get one of our favorite online destinations Fat Quarterly for his review of the tool that made it all happen for him.!! Thomas explains how he achieved this wonderful curve appeal quilt!! (God I’m clever) Thanks Thomas for asking. This is such a win win!! My friends get to see how Girls World Vibe whips up!! Check out these gals. They follow us on facebook and show us their creations, they show us what they are taking to upcoming fairs and you can grab items before they go off if you are lucky!!! First up the lovely Judy from Hickity Pickity with her itty bitty sarongs, also carries them for adults and the wonderful artwork is all done by her daughter Katie. Becky from Grandma B’s Clothesline is the wonderful skirts lined up!! and then not to be outdone our wonderful Sweet Tea for kids!!!! This is their first debut I believe and we are so excited to have them!! Raise your glass to these talented friends of Sis Boom. So grateful to all of you!!

Too old for Girls World???? Not a problem!! The Halter starts at size 2 for women!!! Jennifer FraunFelder!! has a solution for her daughter she’s testing the Halter and found the perfect fit for her daughter!!! Check this one out. This 2 woman’s Junior fits like a 14/16 girl!!! Look at sweet Emily and do you love the amazing colors on her skin tone???? Those big eyes are popping. Emily is a regular on our blog and she loves to model for her mama!!! We love you folks you keep Flickr Hoppin!!!! Sis Boom Sightings in Flickr is filled with your amazing creations!!Giving me an overflow of content for the blog!!!! So appreciated. So here goes. Michelle Renee is doing a bang up job with all the West Indies, Girls World Vibe and Honey Child she can find!!! Love the satchels!! Also used our laminate for a wonderful large beach tote. Isn’t she soooo fun. Then of course Bell Bottoms is revived by Jenny with this new pattern in the testing phase for Melissa Stramel. she is an up and coming fabric and pattern designer and we love the princess feel of this dress on Kelsey. Maura Madden and Jessica Pigza from Crafternoon have invited us to teach a garland class on one of their get together’s and we couldn’t be more excited…..meeting crafters in NYC is the ultimate exchange. Maura Madden also has an incredible book on Amazon called Crafternoon and both have been on Martha Stewart show so this is going to be lots of fun!!! Such a big city and hard to find like minded crafters unless you are at an event like this. We are also going to be giving one lucky person a copy of Happy Home!! So if you are in the vicinity please come and let us know you will be attending. We love to keep track of all of you!! Sometimes when I get a heads up that you’ll be there I keep you on my radar and then get a chance to hug you in person. So today’s post is garlands and just enjoy the process. See you in NYC !!
