Poolside in Sis Boom Style!

We are head over heels for the fabulous laminate tote on Maiden Jane! (Maiden Jane is a dear twitter friend of Sis Boom!! — we LOVE our twitter!) How practical and stylin’ is this concept?! This bag features Mikaela Laminate of Honey Child!

Toss your towel, sun screen, goggles, a snack, and some other fun trinkets… viola, you’re ready for a day at the pool with a fabulous waterproof bag! Maiden Jane points out that it’s the perfect end-of-the-day bag, which houses wet towels perfectly and gets them home without making a huge mess!

Maiden Jane shares her opinion on what makes the most perfect beach bag, and is also looking for your comments! Read more HERE and peep her awesome Etsy Shop by clicking HERE

Oklahoma!!!

What an honor to have been featured like this at the Oklahoma Quilt Show!!! Word has it that Honey Child was loved by all and that Girl’s World sold out!

What a STUNNING presentation! Make our day, why don’t ya!

Gardenhouse Awesomeness!

The fabulous Simone Howell of Gardenhouse has done it again!! So exciting! Look at this awesomeness that was featured in this Month’s Sew Hip Magazine!! There’s nothing like seeing our fabrics in a quilt one day, and as a belted dress the next. The interpretations are what keep us so inspired! What a beautiful job Simone has done here!…

Talk about using Honey Child to the max. So versatile, Summery, and playful! We love how the belt totally works with the Dana (JP47lilly | Dana) dress, but is also used on the opposite page with jeans and a white tee. That little splash of Mikaela (JP49periwinkle | Mikaela) kicks it all into high gear. We are in love.

Share with us your Sis Boom fabric interpretations by uploading pics on the Sis Boom Flickr!! We’re always looking there and always featuring our creative peeps! You could be next!

Peep the Gardenhouse Etsy shop to see what else Simone’s got goin’ on!

Sis Boom <3's Intown Quilters!

Hi Everyone! It’s Madeline here– What an amazing time Jennifer had at Intown Quilters last Friday. She is gushing about all of the wonderful people she met and the charming little girls that made her heart sing!

I got to see a few fun photos from the event and I can tell that Jen is on cloud 9 with all of you fabulous people who came out to visit her. Pssst– don’t we just LOVE Jennifer’s new hair-do?! She is lookin’ B-E-A-utiful!

Something else we wanted to share with you is this really wonderful quilt kit available at Intown Quilters! These kits include instructions and fabric for the quilt, aside from the border fabric, which you can have a blast picking out yourself! Isn’t that such a great idea?! This quilt is a Marsha Moore quilt, and it probably looks familiar because we’ve highlighted it before on our blog! We just love it so much!

See our Beloved Marcella Pillows on Shelter!

Shelter, by Julie Richard, posted a really beautiful spread featuring Jennifer’s most recent designs including the Marcella pillows, Honey Child, Rugs, and St. Thomas pillow collection! See exactly what Julie has to say about these Summery pieces!

You can find many of these beautiful pillows and rugs at the lovely Layla Grace!

Heloooo Laminate!

We’re just loving these laminates!!!

Ok, Ok..so we know we posted a laminate bag just a few days ago, but we stumbled upon this beauty and couldn’t resist posting about it today!

Made by our awesome friend, Victoria of Bumble Beans, this laminate screams out Summer fun! Can’t you imagine toting this beauty along the beach stuffed with your fabulous book, sandals, sunglasses and towel!? (psst… ignore the fact that it’s been raining for the past 2 weeks!)

If you’re not a sewer, we suggest you pick up some yardage in order to dress your table, like Victoria did here!…

Where can you purchase your laminates? Fabric.com, and Modern June are two great places to start!!

Super PS… did you see yesterday’s raffle post?! What are you waiting for! Go leave a comment to enter! Winner gets 10 yards of Old School Sis Boom fabric!! yeah!!!

Sis Boom Here, There & Everywhere!

Happy Thursday, Friends!!!

We were soaking up the pages of Quilts and More magazine when we flipped it over and noticed our beloved Honey Child on the back cover! It’s a beautiful, colorful ad for the fabulous equilter.com!!So fun! We’re feeling pretty special these days popping up here there and everywhere for Honey Child & Girl’s World. Thanks for the love, everyone!

Wishing you all a peaceful day.

With these placid rainy days and a vibrant green consuming the world outside, we can’t help but feel an overwhelming sense of peace. Yep, that’s right! We’ve decided not to fight the 5 days of rain that loom ahead, but accept them as they encourage us to appreciate it for what it is and what it will bring to us.

We’ve been inside, working hard and getting back into the swing of things after Quilt Market. We are still recovering from all the fun we had 😉 . It’s important for each of us to take a moment and enjoy what’s around us and count those blessings… feel the peace… and when you’re ready for some rain– step outside and take it all in.

This beautiful photo was borrowed from Hermine300’s Flickr Stream. So precious. We love the peaceful look on this adorable girl’s face.
