I love me a Pat Sloan!!

Pat and I are sitting down Monday night to chat and you all can listen into the podcast….for reals!!!! (listen by clicking HERE)  I was so intimidated by this veteran quilter and she was so high up in the quilting hierarchy of professional quilters that I wasn’t  even sure if she even knew who I was but alas as so many folks I encounter on a daily basis she was extraordinarily lovely and made me feel quite at home on my first podcast a year ago.  Pat’s podcasts are so interesting and you wouldn’t know but she does quite a bit of footwork before it even airs.  I’m so impressed with her get up and go and she really loves life that’s for sure.  So please tune in Monday (HERE) night and have a listen or save it to your desktop whatever works.  Thank you Pat for always supporting the quilting , sewing world and spending the time getting to know us. You are an amazing force for good in this world. so please join us, Pat and I for American and Patchwork and Quilting radio Monday evening.  Get to know Pat here.

Show time is Monday 4pm eastern, 3pm Central, 2pm mountain, 1pm Pacific.

A Very Lucky Girl

Over the Ap wire came this wonderful photo of one of the invites to the State Dinner for Kids at the White House hosted by Michelle Obama??  (Finwe Wiedenhoeft, age 9, from Wisconsin, looks through her bag for her id badge as she arrives at the Booksellers entrance for the first ever Kids’ ‘State Dinner’, hosted by first lady Michelle Obama, Monday, Aug. 20, 2012 in Washington. (AP Photo/Pablo Martinez Monsivais))  How terribly exciting for the creator we have spoken about so many times here on our blog!!

Suzanna Marosi McKeon of Hold it right There just does such an amazing job and her bags are works of art.  We can’t thank her enough for her daily presence on our FB page.  Suzanna hats off!!  I can just imagine the conversations this bag set off at the state dinner!!!  Michelle O  is looking for a matching one now!!!  Am I right???  Continued Success Suzanna!  This has got to feel sooo good!!!
