A very good friend of mine passed away from pancreatic cancer.  For me she was an angel and our friendship spanned 25 years.  So I am grieving in a way I've never known.  The loss is tremendous.

Friends are calling and mourning and I'm listening.  Listening to what she would say.  She taught me so much and in the 18 months she battled cancer there was her faith sticking out.  Something she never minded people seeing.  I can learn from that.  More than that she taught me the ways of the world and about living a spiritual life.  I'm living the promises of our fellowship.  I'm living in ways I never thought possible.

Her name was Beth and she lived life humbly and with unimaginable grace. 

So Sunday my close girlfriend , I and my husband sat Shiva for this amazing woman.  Listening to everyone sharing her strength and beauty.  Sitting quietly and remembering all she gave in the spirit of becoming more human.  Seeing all those she touched in her short life.  Sometimes there was complete silence in the beauty of their back yard and I could feel her presence and it was so comforting.  For a couple of hours we just sat and were part of something much larger, much holier than I had ever known and then came the peace that surpasses all understanding.

I'm not sure why she's gone but I know that God has a purpose for all of us and that hole in my heart will fill with abundant trust that her purpose was fulfilled. As good things happen all around me I tend to feel a bit guilty moving on from this grieving place but I do know it is what Beth would want.  She was about living life to the fullest.

Ok so Nancy is getting ready to launch her website selling  beautiful quilts made to order or possibly in stock!!  I love them all maybe because she uses lots of Sis Boom fabric or maybe because her cat Ollie no matter what is going on, sits on the quilts!!!  We all get a big chuckle because Ollie is everywhere and seems to love having his picture taken with the quilts….  He follows Nancy everywhere when quilts are in hand or on the machine.  We can't figure out whats going on in his head but I like to think it has to do with Sis Boom fabric!!  But that's just me.  Nancy, Sis Boom wishes you all the very best in the world when that website launches!!!  Keep us posted!!!

I've had this doll since I was born and my seamstress..who I adore to know end made me this lovely outfit!! Perfect???? right??? Anyway I found out she loves Poodle (Don't tell Snoopy) !! Not really I just had to find a clever way to make you come back today ,so little traffic on Sundays.  So just to let you know Fatquarter shop got busy with their graphics (which are always amazing) and anticipates shipment in May of Fat quarter bundles, charm packs, and design rolls making your life so easy!!!!..let me know if you got your shipment and we can get a few highly eager folks your way…as always major thanks!!!!!

It's here !!! Looks like the internet spilled the beans but thought I would officially launch Poodle for Spring market!!!!  I can't wait for it to arrive and start making things up.  !! You will love the energy!!! Of course it was named for George! So keep a look out It's starting to appear in stores !! Can't wait to see what it inspires you to make!! I love white!! I love white played up against color.  When I design a bed I love it with white and then bursts of Sis Boom!  It's like a magic show for me.  White is calming , thoughtful, well meaning and color says, play, romp, roll.  That's why when I saw what Amy Karol over at Angry Chicken had created  for her girls I immediately fell in love. The clothing  Reminds me of the story "Heidi"  I picture little girls in braids , kerchiefs and sheep running around.  The words milkmaids came to mind.  I love Amy's out of the box approach, her simplicity and ingenuity.  I know you are all familiar with her books and wonderful site and blog.  Take a bop over and send her some of our Sis Boom love.  A large thanks to the very successful miss Amy and as always thanks for visiting!
