Ok while Maddie is cutting up so St. Croix for our Raffle friday I thought I'd share two things I'm grateful for….First and foremost my father-in-law!!!!  Every Valentines Day for the past 22 years I get a bouquet of flowers from this incredibly thoughtful man and so do both my sister-in-laws!!  I don't think he knows how every Valentines Day I look forward to this wonderful bouquet, the promise of Spring and in this weather that's a gift.  More than that he's an amazing man who keeps up with his grandchildren , loves his wife more than anything, and writes thoughtful notes just when you need it. You can see it in his eyes, the love, the unconditional love that comes from living a long life and the wisdom of experience.  So today I salute this wonderful man who embraced me from day one and never falters from his commitment to family, he actually gets misty eyed when we are all together.  He lives for those moments.  My children and all of his grandchildren like to hang with him..imagine that when you are 75!!!!!  Love you so much grandpa!!

Second thing is I get to wake up to the splendor of my cluttered cabinet of favorite things. It still inspires me and makes me so happy.  We all need a place that makes our hearts sing and this is the place.

That's what's going on here!!  Rooting for both sides obviously don't want customers to have any ill will towards me either way.  Seriously don't follow football at all and yes I went to the University of  Notre Dame and gave my tickets away on football weekends!!!  I was very well liked as you can imagine!!!! I love these days cause hubby gets what he needs and so do I!!! This is a room that was created for my daughter awhile back .  I'm glad I still have the photo because the room has that wonderful teenage signature now where things that are meaningful are taped up all over her walls and closet doors  (Jonas Brothers, and crazy photos of friends making weird faces), handwritten notes from her peeps  and I adore her room now.  It's her and I wouldn't photograph it for fear she would be upset with me but it's her own special dreamland.  But here is her corner that now holds vast number of carnival stuffed animals and things from her childhood.  The desk is piled up with perfumes and lotions, thousands of earrings and coins everywhere.  That's her place where she hangs and can be herself.  This is the room untouched and simple waiting for life to begin.  I prefer the one with her in it making all of her little messes, cackling on the phone, and playing loud music.(sometimes) She's a junior in high school now and it won't be long before college rolls in and she's off but this will always be her forever room. I love you Katie!

Here it is real pictures from my sister's wedding in Atlanta.  Ok it's no secret the photographer Erin Brauer from her studio AGRAYLINE can take pictures better than me….okay a lot better ! ! Look at these wonderful photos, a glimpse into Meg and new brother in law Vincent's lives.  Bunnies, cats and one sweet dog named JJ comprise their little farmhouse of animals. I was lucky enough to be witness to this very special occassion in my sissy's life.  Erin writes beautifully on her blog about the big day so take a look.  As always I'm so glad you stopped in to see what goes on here.  Vinnies eldest daughter, Elizabeth is wearing the long sleeved Meghan Peasant that pattern looks so beautiful on her.  The girls are wearing the Josie dress and that pattern will be out next year.  Thanks Erin for making me cry all over again.  xoxo

Try not to look at the floor!  The studio has seen its share of mishaps….at this point totally intentional cause I don't want to bother cleaning up in the middle of creative play…..well I'm upstairs working on some Valentines and realized I hadn't blogged today.  So check these hats out.. the collection started with my grandmother's hat and has expanded from there.  I love to collect (it's a problem)  my mother even asked "how do you know when you have enough???" Anyone???  Anyone???    I don't have a setting for no.  So here are some of them celebrated on two plant stands that are awesome.  I treasure these floral concoctions …they say you can't take them with you but trust me I will find away….xoxo Jennifer
