I love old paper, I love vintage ephemera!! Something about the time, the place, the memories, the innocence. It all is wrapped in a ball of sentiment!! I just adore playing with them and I encourage you to play too. Find some quiet time and just explore on Ebay and Etsy for old wrapping paper and cards, see what stirs you, see what you love. I have to make time for play it’s where I learn the most about myself as I’m sure many artists out there would concur! xo
So true! Play is often overlooked but it’s contribution to the process is invaluable. Looks like you’ve been having a great time.
So pretty!
love those little angels, i used to have some books with those in them when i was little, so sweet, and from a different time….wonderful
Beauty! This reminds me of when I was a little girl. My mother purchased a tree top angel that looks just like those angels. She was made of cardboard, had beads and sequins and whispy blonde hair. I still have her, somewhere. My mom gave her to me when I had my first daughter.. she purchased the carboard angel for my first christmas. (I need to find her). Love your sweet work. Thanks for the memory.
how do you find little images like these? old greeting cards, or from books? (creative juices are flowing 🙂
duh. i read the post and my juices kicked in to go seek out to see if anyone had the angels like i have and so disregard my last post LOL.
I just love your beautiful collage! I can hear those bells ringing!
The background paper looks familiar! Looking at this pictures brings back childhood memories of designs I remember on cards and wrapping papers. I wish I could come for your paper play class. It looks like so much fun.
