I thought of this clever idea when I thought of all the little parties we will be attending…obviously for the girls (sorry boys) but how about a crown to mark the occasion!! …inside the crown it says “We are so proud of you” now what for the boys???..hellp me out here…I don’t think they will do a crown….I’ll have a bunch at our show so come on by…Img_0499

i love the crowns for the girls! what about arm bands for the boys like barbershop quartets wear? or, something for a baseball cap or tie? do boys still wear ties? lots of questions, but boys are hard when it comes to accessories, obviously, or you wouldn’t be asking us!

Love, love, love the crowns. Boys are so much a different thing…how about some gussied up boutinierre (sp?) type thing?

So pretty!! My daughter is “graduating” 5th grade to go to middle school this year – this is a perfect idea!! (too bad I can’t be at your show to nab one!).

what about a “gussied up” cap and tassel?
black cardboard sheet music and a little glitter!?!?!?
simple and timeless for any gender!!
congrats to you and your family – a very important milestone!

Sometimes you can get top hats at party stores or online. They are used for New Year’s Eve or Oscar parties.

  8. OMG for you Jennifer I cannot fathom when my guys will do this but I will probably cry allot!! Congrads to your sweet boy and congrads to his awesome mom!!

What a very special time this is for you! Hope you are doing well with all of it. Every year in our parish, the graduating seniors are recognized and every year I cry, and none of them are even mine.
I have a son going into senior year and a daughter a year behind, I will be a puddle.
The crowns are so pretty! I think I like the idea posted about the gussied up cap and tassel.
    peace,
    amy

Ooooh! I love the crowns!!! I like the top hat idea. I think the boys would wear them in a photo just for fun! Please take lots of photos for us.

  11. Boys never want to wear anything cute, so I have no idea. I can’t even get my son, who is 4, to wear what I want him to.
The crowns are great! Those will be some lucky graduates.

darn those boys! My daughter will be attending at least 2 graduation parties for guy friends of hers, and I’ve been brainstorming like crazy for fun, creative gift ideas. I dunno Jennifer…the girls really luck out with the grad. crowns!

My baby (boy) graduated last year……and just finished his first year at college!! I made a fun “congrats” banner out of more masculine paper, and of course a little glitter, but in browns and blacks. Also I made 81/2 x 11 signs on dowels to stick around the party (outside) with “life” and “moving forward” quotes on them. It was fun for guests to walk around and see the different ones. I even had a special quote that was just my son’s own.

where a pic of my boy???

  17. Carolyn says:

Congrats to your son! I love the crown idea too. 🙂

  18. patricia says:

my pic would be a straw boater in one of your fabrics and a pen to sign – the brim by all his cronies.
or a baseball cap would be sporty and chic in one of your fabrics.
    congratulations!

  19. Congratulations to your son! You must be very busy these days! But then, YOU are the Queen of celebrations, you KNOW how do celebrate in SYTLE and with CLASS! And fun!!!! Love these crowns!!!
