It’s all Good!!

Thanks everyone for your loving Birthday wishes I have my friend Charlotte Lyons to thank because I loved getting them!!!!….I’ve been hiding. You see it was my birthday, a very big birthday and I wasn’t where my mind thought I should be !!! That’s a drag and a heavy burden to carry. I just turned 50 and and became a card carrying member of AARP!! Who Knew? I saw a wonderful picture today and on it said what age would you be if you didn’t know how old we were?? Loving that sooo much. I am 27 have been and always will be and yes chronologically I am 50 but I don’t live there. I live inside my heart like my mom always did. You see She’s 75 and I am going to surprise her with a trip to Paris this summer because we don’t stop living!! We’ve learned numbers don’t define who we really and truly are. They are always playing with our minds those numbers, be it age , size, weight, and we give them so much power. But I’ve decided to out myself and you know what I’ve never felt more at peace. It’s so freeing !!! I love my life! I love my family and friends! But it’s more than that…I have faith that I’m right where I’m supposed to be! Not less than or more than just right size. Thanks for celebrating with me and enjoy 2008 wherever you are at in life be grateful for everyday because more will be revealed and you will discover as I have to savor the truth and not to buy into the numbers game. You define you…noone else.
Thanks Nuala and Karen for the absolute perfect day in Old Saybrook with all the amazing memories we shared yesterday…my fabulous fiftieth birthday. Thegirls111608

Happy Birthday Jennifer! You are so right about just being happy with who we are and to be thankful for what we have and when times get tough we have the one above to guide us thought those times. Cheers to you and many more Birthdays.

  2. oh my goodness, Happy Birthday Jennifer!!!! Don’t hide anymore just celebrate it!! I for one love any excuse to have a party. I celebrated my 40th last April and we celebrated my husband’s 50th in July!! He like you does not look the part at all. Some people just age well and I think it is all in the attitude.
Oh Paris, how I wish I could go there, the last time I was there I got engaged on the Effiel Tower!! I need to go back. I know you and your mom will have soo much fun and lots of goodies to eat.
Wow and Old Saybrook, I often think fondly of that place since it is where my best friend Paul ( who is no longer here sadly) had a family reunion and we just had a blast. So on my way to NYC I always have to drive by it and think of that time. I am glad you had fun there as well.
Well Happy Bday my talented blogger friend, I am sure life has many more exciting things for you to do!
    xo Ellen

Dear God, throw that AARP card away! Happy belated birthday and thanks for the wise words. I’m right behind you, I’ll be 48 in February and I have an 8 year old and a 4 year old. I live in a strange world where I sometimes feel out of place. Most people my age have teenagers or college kids and women, with children the same age as mine, just about fall over when I tell them my age. But the truth is I have never “fit in” and that is just as it should be for me….. Have a great belated birthday Jennifer!

Happy Birthday! I turn 50 this year too, and didn’t realize I was getting an AARP card already…. Oh well, I do enjoy a discount, that is the bright side.
I’d say my inner age is around 30, that was a good age to be and I never feel much older than that. I remember when I was in my 20s and even felt thirty then!
Enjoy your half century mark, I am celebrating mine all year long!
