Sis Boom Super Fans- Meet Jenny and Her Daughter Kelsey

Meet Jenny and her lovely daughter, Kelsey. The family lives in Texas and Jenny is out FIRST documented Sis Boom fan. For real! Jenny has supported Sis Boom from the beginning, and we watched both her daughters grow up over the years. Her youngest daughter, Kelsey, is quite the budding fashionista and we are in awe of the beautiful outfits Jenny sews for her using Sis Boom fabric. Below Kelsey is wearing the Leighanna in Beverly from the Good Company fabric line. Follow her blog and on Facebook.

I am Jenny Fish of Sew Pretty Dresses and Kelsey and Caroline. I started sewing 20 years ago where I first started with quiltmaking with the occasional dabble in making clothes and bags. I switched to sewing primarily children’s clothing when my daughter turned 2. She has been my constant inspiration to sew since then. I find that staying in close connection with my sewing friends keeps me motivated to create and Jennifer Paganelli of Sis Boom has really been my biggest cheerleader and motivator in putting myself out there and trying new things. Her encouragement, gorgeous fabrics and creations spur me on to keep sewing and designing.

UpCraft Club – featuring the Ethan Shirt

Brienne, of Handmade by Brienne, is a guest blogger over at UpCarft Club this week, and she wrote a post on our very own Sis Boom Ethan Shirt. She gave our pattern rave reviews for ease of printing it out by size, aligning the pattern pieces and finally putting it all together. If you know Carla Crim and Jennifer Paganelli of Sis Boom Pattern Company, you know this describes our patterns to a “T” and why we have had thousands of positive reviews on our Etsy Shop over the years.

Her son looks so dashing in this shirt, don’t you think? We love it in the handsome and classic blue and white check!

Sis Boom Bed!

Hi Everyone!

As I previously mentioned, my professional background includes putting together bedding collections.  In fact, long before I joined Sis Boom, I was using Jennifer’s lines to make duvets, sheet sets, dust ruffles, upholstered headboards, toss pillows, curtains and more! While my mind automatically sees a large scale floral and thinks “duvet,” you guys turn the same exact print into the most beautiful clothing, quilts, aprons, shower curtains, etc. I have ever seen! I am CONSTANTLY blown away by your creativity. Since you have been so gracious in sharing your creations with us, I’d thought I’d share with you how my mind views a brand new Jennifer Paganelli collection. And speaking of brand new, I will be using fabrics that can be found in her upcoming “Good Company” line to be released in November 2014.

Another great suggestion is using a large bold pattern for an upholstered headboard like these:

and use a combination of solid colors found in the print as your duvet!

An upholstered headboard can be found in Happy Home by Jennifer Paganelli!

Keep your creations coming! We love seeing them!!

There’s a New Girl in Town

Hello fellow Sis Boom admirers! My name is Lisa and I am the newest addition to Team Sis Boom! From here on out one of my many tasks here will be to serve as your Style Maven! We’ll talk about the latest trends in fashion, fabrics, furniture and many more things that don’t necessarily start with an “F”. Before we get to that, here’s a little bit about me: I grew up in Connecticut with a fierce passion for design.  While I studied creative writing my background includes running a children’s shop, bedding design, interior design, visual merchandising and being a pretty awesome Aunt to 4 little girls and 1 little man. In 2008 I caught a glimpse of my very fist Sis Boom design (in the collection “Bell Bottoms”) and instantly became a fan!  To quote my brand new Twitter account (www.twitter.com/lbeesa) I’m a “lover of laughter, textiles, elephants, pineapples, triangles, the beatles and much, much more!”  I am thrilled to be working side by side with Jennifer and Co. and cannot wait to meet and speak with each and every one of you!

For my first post I’ve decided to let my OCD get the best of me and bring something to your attention….Have you noticed that the dots featured in JennyEliza on the JoAnn Fabrics website look enormous?!? I promise you they are not! The image shown is a highly pixelated version! I want you guys to know exactly what you’re getting so below please take a look the ACTUAL scale of the dots featured on our lovely Sophie. I’ve included the pixelated version as well for your viewing pleasure. PHEW! I feel better getting that off my chest!

Thank you so much for welcoming me into your world Sis Boom fans!

Untill next time –

Lisa

Hickity Pickity for Jenny Eliza

hickity hickityp hickitypick HickityPi HICK HickitypickitySo by now you have heard of Hickity Pickity and I know for some of you it can be confusing because we are always talking about them on Facebook. they are the leaders in their genre. They use quilting fabrics for all of their products and we couldn’t be happier that they are smitten with both Sis Boom and Jenny Eliza. Judy Buchannan has been the visionary of Hickity Pickity and now along with her daughter they have artistically styled a very branded look.  They bow to Lily Pulitzer but have a certain signature that moves beyond that and distinguishes them from the pack.  They are also the ones that got the Aussies all their Jenny Eliza and we are so grateful for their generosity.  Hickity Pickity  you make us thirst for more of the incredible style that is you!!! Follow them, They will make you anything, you will enjoy working with them. They are in Florida and ship internationally!!! Organic Moments thanks for all the beautiful photos.

You are loving “Jenny Eliza”

We are so smitten with this line and can’t thank you enough for creating all the beauty we are seeing on social media and we can’t say enough thank yous for all you do.  You enrich our lives with the items you create and inspire all of us with your unique eye!! So many talents so many gifts and we are struck dumb everyday with the multitude of  ideas.  We love Jenny Eliza and see that you love it also. Currently this line is selling at JoAnns and we couldn’t be more pleased with the Launch.  Their website has to keep replenishing the goods and that’s never a bad thing!!!  Please feel free to buy online.  So we had our wonderful photographer friend Tim Geaney (photographer to the stars) take some whimsy so you can see the breathtaking quality of these fabrics for themselves. red meghan hint jimbo sissy katie shore IMG_8088

Spring Fling

The buds are budding, the sun is peaking through and those birds are definitely chirping. Spring is moments away from filling our every day with sweet smelling grass and warm, rainy days. LOVE IT!

Of course, with our Sis Boom brains, all we can think about is sewing, making, and crafting. And when we think about sewing.. and wearing… all we can think about are those Judy’s fancy pants. Light and airy with a sweet white tank and cardigan- Perfecto. Throw on some chunky pearls and bangles- viola.
What are you all working on this week? Keep sharing your comments and designs with us – we love hearing from you, always!
