Tea time

Stop what you’re doing right now, grab yourself a cup or tea or coffee, and check out these darling tea mats Melissa Peda made over at 100 Billion Stars. Blues, pinks and big florals combine all my favorites into one easy sewing project!

Aren’t they smashing?! I can’t get enough of them. She used fabric from our newest line Caravelle Arcade. The darling pink monogram adds the perfect final touch. The best part is, these can be whipped up in a jiffy! Maybe surprise a dear friend, a favorite teacher, our invite your bestest friend over for tea and nibbley things on the back porch, and enjoy this glorious weather we are having.   Melissa was sweet enough to send me 4 of these, and I’m ever so grateful for the surprise. They really brightened up my weekend.

Quick projects that make a huge impact are one of my favorite ways to spend an afternoon. How about you? I love seeing what you’ve been up to. Don’t be shy. Share with me on Facebook or Instagram.

Monarch Workshop

This past weekend I had the luxury of attending Monarch Workshop.  The workshop is run by an incredible group of women (including our very own Madeline) and aims to support “those who need a little push, those who are looking for a creative connection, and those who need inspiration to believe they can follow their dreams.”

The attendees were made up of a spectacular group of women whose occupations ranged from bloggers to therapists and real estate agents to artists.  The two day workshop consisted of non-stop activities (lessons, speakers, crafting) that catered to the mind, body and soul. It was FABULOUS.

Our fearless leader, Jennifer Paganelli, was a guest speaker and led the group in creating vision books.  The books were created by gluing inspiring cut outs (words, quotes, images) from magazines onto blank notebook pages.

There was yoga and lessons in make-up and skincare. We made our own dream catchers, ate delicious food (from the ladies at Whisk + Brush) and had a tutorial in all things confetti! Take a look below of more images from the incredibly talented Victoria Gloria:

Hickity Pickity for Jenny Eliza

hickity hickityp hickitypick HickityPi HICK HickitypickitySo by now you have heard of Hickity Pickity and I know for some of you it can be confusing because we are always talking about them on Facebook. they are the leaders in their genre. They use quilting fabrics for all of their products and we couldn’t be happier that they are smitten with both Sis Boom and Jenny Eliza. Judy Buchannan has been the visionary of Hickity Pickity and now along with her daughter they have artistically styled a very branded look.  They bow to Lily Pulitzer but have a certain signature that moves beyond that and distinguishes them from the pack.  They are also the ones that got the Aussies all their Jenny Eliza and we are so grateful for their generosity.  Hickity Pickity  you make us thirst for more of the incredible style that is you!!! Follow them, They will make you anything, you will enjoy working with them. They are in Florida and ship internationally!!! Organic Moments thanks for all the beautiful photos.

Border Prints!!!

valpizzazz valerie valeriehat valerie12

So imagine my surprise when I saw lovely images of this beautiful woman in a dress she created using our Border print from Beauty Queen (Valerie) in her dress design.  I almost fell off my chair when I got to see her vision in real time.  Exquisite.  border prints can go a long way but you have to be inspired,  you have to know what they can be used for and we think Paisley Farm did an incredible job!! You will be so stuck on her blog!!  She does it all so well!!!!  Sofia lives in Las Vegas , Nevada and her blog is so inspirational.  She loves Floral fabric so I would say she really gets me.  I am so excited for you to meet her and see her beautiful dress that I know will make you swoon.  I took the same border print and used it on my antique bed as a covering and I just love the results so whatever the use just know you can’t go wrong with a border print..heavenly ideas await you!  So be sure to follow Sofia Moore on her blog and Facebook page, we are hoping she does it in other colorways. This is very much like our Angie so I expect to see some of those being created. Thanks Sofia!!!  Please show us how you use your border prints!!!

Love a collaboration!!

Would love to hear what you think of Dandelion and Boo’s collaboration with Daisy and Poppy and Roses of Blue. We have joined together to raise money for Clown Doctors who bring some humour and smiles to children in hospital.  I love the idea of  of collaborating for a cause.  Making children laugh who are experiencing difficulty is probably the best cause there is.  Thank you for allowing us a glimpse of your happy moments in helping the cause. Best, Jenniferaprettysite

Wow I am the luckiest girl I know!!!  This past weekend I was unable to attend Quilt Market due to our imminent show here back at home.  I was fortunate to be blessed by lovely friends who really did an outrageous job of sharing Lucky Girl with all of you.  First of all to know the Long Ladies of Marie Madeline Studios is to love them.  Hearts as big as the eye can see.  You just want to be around them and be smothered by there openness to love you right back.  I am so touched by their gifts and there uncanny ability to make beautiful things. This year with appliques and stunning clothing and fierce patch working I can only pray that they hit the roof in sales!!  My understanding was that the booth was always crowded!!  I want to thank Freespirit for supplying them with Lucky Girl so they could have everything ready for market.  Long Girls what can I say..except your beauty out shined everything ! I will always be your fearless cheerleader and always here for you.  Jenny thanks for your satellite reports from the Convention center in Houston you did an amazing job!!!  So please venture over they have lots of Lucky Girl in stock and Patterns that will bring a smile to your soul.!!

Fabulous Idea

Christy Bennett had an idea a year ago and after lots of consideration she has launched what I deem to be the next best thing from this world.  Are you ready???  Pre-made, lined, drapes!!!! I just think this is an idea that will be a huge hit!!  I am over the moon excited.  Once they find Darling Drapery  they’ll just have to deal with which ones to get!!!!  So many possibilities and she makes it affordable!!! Christy I think you are on the tipping point of something big and I know it is going to take off!!!  throw drapes up and have a party!!!! Match some pillows and you are good to go.  Congrats Christy!!So get over to Etsy and take a look at her collection.  I know you will love what you see….which room will you tackle first?

Banner in Girls World

So let’s change it up and use some of the projects from Girls World to make Holiday items.  You are going to love this one.  Who doesn’t love a little felt in their lives? Vintage pom poms?  Ok so I got your attention.  I’m sure you all remember the banner in Girls World.  It was a Happy Birthday banner but I changed it up a bit to now say Merry Christmas.  You will need wool felt I got mine on Etsy, stabilizer backing, diecuts from Maya Road the white flowery part, and felt letters called stickit’s mine are from ebay. Of course a Girls World Book  to keep you on track.  The sentiment is all yours..You make it up!!  So love that you come by it means the world to me!!!
