All our love,
Sometimes I’m asked how do I start my day??? Lots of caffeine and a quiet request for help throughout my day. Then onto the task at hand. I love to play, I love to create I love to hand sew and I love to write. I walk Mr. George cause that’s equally important to me. Our walks are slow and we talk , we share secrets, his secrets always have something to do with chasing squirrels. I talk out loud to him especially when we see deer. He loves to watch the deer and seems quite respectful especially after a doe stamped her front leg as he approached her offspring just being curious. We see birds , we count the ducks in the pond, we talk to neighbors especially the ones with 4 legged friends. We look for new smells and places to mark. It has to be a leisure walk because when I’m rushed and hurried that’s how the day goes. If I make a conscious decision to be deliberate and serene that’s how the day unfolds. Let me tell you the sky could fall and there is nothing more important than time away with God and nature for me. So that’s how the day starts. Then I take quite a bit of time to say hey to all of you and thank you for just being you, being giddy, being playful, sharing and giving each other salutes and acknowledgement of a job well done whooping it up on facebook and twitter. (Pinterest I’m coming….) I mean it nothing in this world moves me more than folks helping one another and you all do it everyday. Someone said our customer service was the very best, she was referring to all of the friends of Sis Boom who helped her locate a fabric. You guys rock and make me feel so blessed to be part of this community of loving peeps. So come join the conversation you will be welcome with open arms!! So playing yesterday and I can not stop!!!! The birdies may be sold in kit form what do you think??? The collage is me sewing to paper, I am addicted, changing and filling bobbins like a pro..move out da way!!
So here’s what’s shaking at my place. As you know this is one of my very favorite things to do and I am having a ball with creating some stockings for next year. Yes all year long I work on handcrafted Christmas. I have come to a big decision that Sis Boom will only do a show at Christmas and email sales throughout the year so if we have your email you will be notified of sales in Ct. Life is good, busy, hectic and in order for me to keep pace I’ve decided one big show is better than trying to hand create for two shows. I hope you’ll join us at Christmas for this big extravaganza!!! I hope your year is off to a great start!!!! I have designed several lines of fabric so be watching for them. Happy Land is next after Super Fly so be watching!!!! xoxoxoxo
so tomorrow i go and put the natural blond back in my hair,,my daughter asked if i was painting grey right into my hair..so stopping and going to try and relax and write while I wait for the peroxide to work it’s way to my roots. I love to write so calming . The big blue signs are up , the buzz is beginning to take hold and i am so excited to see you all..I so love your enthusiasm for the handmade. If you see or know anyone from the New York Times I’ve been trying to get them to come for years. Being in the New York Times is on my bucket list..
So the elves are putting in final touches ..see you soon.
Look at this wonderful girly pillow!!! The instructions are in Girls World, the book on your wish list for the Holidays!! ( read a review) Just do a pillow or sachet with a bit of felt instead of the overnight bag and look how sweet. same for the ornament i grouped four images together on a June Tailor computer fabric sheet and look how fun with a little flower and sequin..you know you want to make one. last but not least a page from an old school book glued onto cardboard glittered and attached with a sweet sentiment. of course a felt flower will take it to the next level. So get your craft on..xoxxo
